Blue Mountains International Hotel Management School Campus

BMIHMS has four campus locations: Leura, Sydney (Kent Street), Adelaide, and Melbourne (Flinders Street). While Leura offers bachelor’s courses, the other three take up masters. Undergraduate students from BMIHMS study at Leura campus and move to Sydney in their third year for their Event and Hospitality Management courses.

  • Sydney campus is in the heart of CBD which connects the city’s main transport from Darling Harbour’s nightlife. Sightseeing comprises penguins, a waterfront bar, dugongs at Sea Life Sydney Aquarium, and koalas at Wild Life Sydney Zoo. The facilities on campus are student kitchens, lounge areas, campus-wide WiFi, phone chargers, study spaces, computer room, vending machines and community room.
  • The Leura Campus (in the Blue Mountains) is a two-hour train ride from Sydney which immerses in a world of tourism and travel with its student-run restaurants. The campus provides the facilities of library, vending machines, barbeque & student lounge areas, free Wi-Fi, soccer field, basketball, and tennis courts, swimming pool, and gyms. Apart from this, there are three-on site restaurants with fine dining options and cafes, a campus duty manager available, an English language center, and main meals on campus as a restaurant setting.
  • Wakefield Street Campus in Adelaide is close to Victoria Square and Transport and stands proudly on the historic Menz Biscuit Factory site. It features English Language Centre, B+W and color photocopiers, Free wi-fi, Communal Apple desktops, laptop stations and breakout zones, and Digital data projectors and lightboxes for conceptual work.
  • The Melbourne campus is just a stone’s throw away from Yarra River, Flinders Street Station, and Federation Square and houses the English Language Centre. The campus encloses exhibition spaces, free wi-fi, a clinical lab with simulation rooms, communal Apple desktops, laptop stations and breakout zones, B+W and color photocopiers, etc.

Only the Leura campus provides accommodation for BMIHMS students. All the students enrolled in Bachelor of International Resort and Management have to compliably reside on the campus and share a room.

  • Undergraduate students are asked to live in twin-share accommodation with an international student to embrace cultural awareness. However, in the second year, they can ask for a single room in Return to Request (RTS) form. A limited number of single rooms are available.
  • Third-year students who shift to Sydney have to search for their accommodation.

It is a partner university with the one back in Malaysia so it was convenient to do a twinning program here. Also, this university is Australia's leading hotel school for hospitality education hence it makes sense for me to choose this university.

Fees:

The fee is a little pricey as compared to other courses and universities. However, it is worth the money. I did not have any other charges except for visa and insurance applications.
