It's the highest-ranked University in my state that offers an enabling program. It's a pathway for me to get into the highest University, the University of Western Australia (e.g. UWA) in my state and study something that's only offered by that University in my state, which is linguistics. I'm not required to pay upfront, in Australia, Australian citizens can get government loans that have 0% interest and the amount that gets paid back is determined upon how much you earn and if you have a job, receiving government help, homeless, etc.
Fees :
Unsure about scholarships, Australian citizens don't need to pay upfront and can receive a government loan. When it's time to repay, the amount you pay back is dependent on how much you earn, if you're receiving government help, are currently out of a job, seeking employment, homeless, etc. There is a 0% interest fee.
Curtin University offered the double degree I was searching for and was suitable for entry. After graduating in 2017, I enrolled straight from High School and started study 6 months later. The fees throughout the course are subsidized and loaned by the government which was my only option for University.
Fees :
The fees for Australian commonwealth supported students are much lower than others, meaning it is much more accessible for Australian residents. International applicants have many possible options for scholarships at Curtin, given that they are able to perform well enough to earn these scholarships.
Curtin University has a branch university in Mauritius (Curtin Mauritius). I had the choice to study in Mauritius and graduate there itself. Though, I wanted to have international recognition when graduating, as well as discover different cultures, through a real uni life. I completed the first year of my BITS course in Mauritius and currently doing my second year in Australia, where I will also be graduating.
Fees :
The tuition fees amounted to around $25,000 per semester. Fees are paid according to the number of units we want to study per semester. For example, one can study only 3 units per semester if 4 seems too bulky. Other fees include insurance (OSHC) which is compulsory. I have not been awarded for any scholarship but currently planning to compete for one.
I heard it had a good commerce course and a strong student culture. The major I wanted to do was offered at this uni. It was close to wearing I live and where I currently work. My high school friends would be there.
Fees :
HECS-Help for students who are Australian citizens. I didn't have to pay any upfront fees and will follow the same structure as most Aussie students.
Liked it. The atmosphere was absolutely amazing and all the people were so nice when I went for the open day. I felt like the course was also just my calling - it had so many components I loved and I just had my heart set.
Fees :
40000 for domestic students for the whole course. This comes with student and amenities fees over like 100 a semester. With scholarships, it's cut down though so that's good.
One of the few universities that offer a bachelors in Physiotherapy in Perth, I was offered a scholarship and a few of my mate go to this university as well. It is also a highly reputable college that ranks highly amongst universities around the world.
Fees :
The general fees were around $9500 a year which I acquired a HECS-loan for. I only had the pay a few ones off fees, I also had to pay for texts and then had to pay for immunizations, working with children checks, police clearances and first aid courses as apart of my mandatory requirements.
Highly recommended by parents, staff, peers. It was one of the 2 the only universities in my state to offer architecture and the other uni seemed very pretentious, hard to get into and not recommended by people who went there.
Fees :
You pay after completing a semester, and you are eligible to put your fees including other fees onto a HECS debt. There is a student service and amenities fee which is about $40 a semester.
It had a high ranking than the other college that offered my course. The campus was larger and more catered to what I wanted as a student and it was also located closer to cheaper rental accommodation off-campus.
Fees :
$9000 per year which can be HECS debt approved. SSAF fees are about $130 a semester. There are also uniform fees.
I went to college because of instant entryway into law. Other universities you had to do an undergrad to get in, but for this one, you didn't. It also had great reviews and a great city campus for the law students.
Fees :
There is HECs help which is government funded help with fees which I applied for and is paid back once you start earning a certain amount.
