9.0 /10

Prestige and ranking mainly, however, the student life was fantastic. Additionally, the university provided excellent support in my application and accommodation requests. I was also able to find a job relatively easily during university which contributed greatly to my employability upon graduation. Another of my friends also attended this university with great reviews.

Course Curriculum :

My faculty is very passionate about what they do you could see it in the way lecturers teach. It has been very progressive and professional thus far and I have no complaints about the quality of education I'm receiving.

Exams :

I always wanted to become an engineer and study in Australia, upon further research UNSW was the obvious choice considering the length of the program and prestige the university provided. I have achieved an average wam of 70 which is equivalent to a credit average which is above average grade for my degree.

Internship :

Great, my department has a specialized industry communication department which allowed me to convey my interest to companies and to experience working in the industry first hand. Additional there are graduate programs run by these companies specifically targeting UNSW students.

Fees :

I paid it all directly, there are scholarships however I did not apply for any. I am charged approximately $17k AUD a semester. My government does provide an interest-free loan however certain requirements need to be met and you have to prove you are actually succeeding in all your courses. The loan can then be referred to when you have gotten a job.

Faculty :

Yes, however, I found my job with my own accord. The university does offer lots of jobs on campus and help with internships and external jobs recruiting. The university also maintains a great relationship with the industry to help you with jobs.

Hostel :

I share my accommodation with 2 roommates who I met through the flatmate finder website. We all attend UNSW and are all around the same age which helps immensely fitting in. We are all friends at the end of the day, sharing meals, going out and partying together.
