Western sydney University - Experience of a student

E
8.7 /10

I decided to attend this University because it was close to home. It has an excellent nursing program that will help to line me up for future jobs through placement. It is also one of the only Universities or Colleges that decided to accept me.

Course Curriculum :

I do enjoy the course curriculum. We have a few online weeks which I thoroughly enjoy as I have severe anxiety, depression, and ADHD, and it allows me to do the work at my own pace. However, I do really enjoy our practical lessons.

Exams :

I completed the Higher School Certificate in 2018. I also took an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander entrance exam into the University, where I scored 98% on my maths exam.

Fees :

I had the option to defer my fees and put them on my student loan. However, I spent $200 on a first aid certificate, $60 for a police check, $150 for a nursing uniform, $100 for basic school supplies that they said we would require.

Examination Structure :

I'm not sure of the Exam Structure because I am only in the first year and we have not gotten up to exams. However, assignments aren't handed in online through the University?s website, but through a program called Turnitin.

Faculty :

The staff at the University are always very nice. However, they can be very harsh in their words and picking on people during class discussion. But I think they are very good at their job and help everyone learn at their own pace.
