After a lot of research about what college to join, I got to know about the Rotman School of Management. I decided to apply online and paid an application fee of around $200.

    Fees :

The tuition that I had paid per year was $40,000 along with a university incidental fee of $1800, Rotman compulsory ancillary fees of $600 (covers the material and book charges) and health insurance of $600. Various entrance awards and fellowships were granted.

My parents are both graduates of UofT. I wanted to live downtown, and UofT was the best choice because it is centrally located in downtown Toronto. I got a very substantial admissions scholarship that provided more funding than the scholarships offered by other universities I applied to. I graduated high school with a 94% average.

    Fees :

Tuition varies based on the categories you opt-in on. The average tuition per year is approximately $8,000, which covers the courses, some club fees, gym membership, etc. It is more expensive if you are an international student or are living in residence (which includes a mandatory meal plan). There are numerous college-based and in-course scholarships available. I have been the recipient of UofT Scholar ($6000) and the Marian Robertson award ($300).

This is one of the most prestigious universities in Canada. I had a lot of senior friends who went to this school too and did the same program. Another reason I choose this school was because it's close to where I live - so commuting was roughly 45 minutes. During my last year in high school, I applied to 5 universities, and my admission average was in the mid 80s.

    Fees :

The co-op management program is a deregulated program, meaning that the fees per year fluctuate substantially every year. The government cannot cap how much the school charges. Hence, this is one of THE most expensive program at UofT. Roughly $30K per year for a domestic student, and $90K per year for an international student. Yes there are scholarships offered on the school's website - some are application based, while others are based on merit.

Ques. What is the acceptance rate at the University of Toronto?

    ● Top Answer By Kirti Goyal on 03 Feb 21

Ans. The acceptance rate of UofT is not the most welcoming which is obvious by the fact of it being a top ranked Institute. Once you get into UToronto, the actual struggle is to survive there. It has been ranked 29th by QS World University Ranking, 2020 University of Toronto is quite competitive to get into. Acceptance rate varies from program to program. Average acceptance rate of the University is 43% which comes down to 23.1% for International students.  If you manage to score an average of 87-90 in your 6 major subjects and have a good resume, you will have a pretty high chance of getting here. Better the grade, higher is your chance of getting accepted. Ultimately it depends on the branch to which you seek your admission at, less the competition higher is the acceptance rate. However it must be mentioned that getting into the University is not a huge deal when compared to surviving after the first year and getting your desired majors. Statistics of accepted students: Engineering is the most desired field at University of Toronto among international students. Out of 50,041 UG applications 20,296 students were offered admission among which 4,019 were international students.  The acceptance rate of graduate courses is around 39% Out of 1056 PhD applicants, 305 were given opportunity for enrollment with an overall acceptance rate of 30% It must be kept in mind that getting into University of Toronto is much easier than surviving there for a second year. While the upcoming OUAC admission deadline for full-time courses is November 07, 2019, the part-time and non-degree programs will be open for seasonal intakes during the months of May (Summer) and September (Fall). U of T also requires its students to submit the mandatory documents post the offer of admission, which are usually to be submitted in the month of February. All the international aspirants are, however, highly recommended to apply in the earlier rounds to ensure enough time for procuring student visa and making other arrangements.

    Requirements for Admission

Aspirants seeking admission at U of T can apply via the online portal, by following the link available at “The International Applicants” section. Candidates will require to submit a completed application with an application fee of 180 CAD . An aspirant must provide all mandatory documents like academic transcripts of high school and college(s) attended, Resume, Letters of Recommendation, Essay, among others, to successfully apply at U of T. The University usually takes 2 weeks to process applications and notify the candidates of the further admission process, if selected. The final decisions about admissions are declared somewhere in mid-December and late-May.

U of T offers admissions to aspirants on the basis of their individual credibility and not on their cultural and financial backgrounds. To facilitate studying at U of T, aspirants have the option of seeking out financial aid from the University of Toronto in the form of scholarships or work-study.

The candidate must ensure to submit all the documents at U of T, pay the tuition fee and contact the Embassy following it. Documents including acceptance letter, copy of passport, TOEFL or equivalent scores, Proof of finances and letter of explanation must be presented for obtaining a visa. The process should be completed at the earliest to ensure no last-minute complications with admission.
