Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility: 

  • 80% minimum average of the top six grade 12U or M courses.
  • Courses required include Grade 12U English (with a minimum grade of 65%), Chemistry, Biology, and one Grade 12 Math.
  •  80% minimum second average required for Chemistry and Biology.
  • For example, last year, the minimum average accepted was 85% for the top six grade 12 courses. 

Prior Nursing Courses:

  • University courses taken within seven years prior to admission or readmission to any nursing program may be considered for credit.

Medical Requirements:

  • Students in all nursing programs must be cleared for clinical via a pre-clearance process prior to the start of their clinical course(s). This is the financial responsibility of the student.

Requirements for Registered Practical Nurses to enter this Program:

  • Registered Practical Nursing diploma from a College of Applied Arts and Technology with an overall B (73%) average and no grade are less than a C (63%).
  • Minimum one-year full-time equivalent work experience as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) (i.e. 2000 hours).
  • Current Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) as an RPN with no practice restrictions.
