Brescia University College is the only Women’s University in Canada. There are over 1,400 undergraduate students currently studying various UG courses at Brescia amongst which 11% of the students are from all over the world.

The university offers various undergraduate courses, one masters course, and two postgraduate certificate courses. Affiliated with the University of Western Ontario, the university is a public liberal college which is officially Catholic Institute but accepts students of all faiths, religion and background, making it a very safe place to study in Canada.

  • Applicants for UG programs can apply through Ontario Application Services.
  • US applicants are required to submit SAT scores for UG admissions.
  • Applicants applying on the basis of extracurricular activities are required to fill an additional application form.
  • There are no specific GPA requirements for international applicants except for applicants from the US.

COVID-19 Update:

For students who are adversely affected by COVID-19 and their average falling below the admission requirements, a COVID-19 Supplemental Form must be filled in addition to the main Admission Application.

Brescia University College International Student Admissions

There are many additional requirements to be kept in mind if you are an international candidate. Not only that, to be able to study in Canada many things need to be kept in mind. Applicants applying for the Fall semester are advised to complete the application before May and applicants applying for winter programs should submit the application before October 31.

  • Status with respect to admissions is that the offer of admission is sent over email by the university and only after receiving the acceptance letter can the applicant apply further for a visa.

Ontario High School Applicant Requirements:

  • Minimum of six 4U or M level courses
  • Completed/Completing an Ontario Secondary School Diploma
  • Some programs require specific 4U level courses as part of the required six.
  • The minimum average grade requirement for Kinesiology and Health Science is 85%, Preliminary Year is 70%, and for the remaining subjects is 79.5%

Out-of-Province High School Applicant Requirements:

Applicants from provinces outside of Ontario must meet province-specific admission requirements. Applicants must contact the Admission Office to confirm their eligibility for admission as out-of-province applicants.

  • The admission offers are extended to the out-of-province applicants with a minimum average of 79.5%.
  • Certain competitive programs may require a higher final average.

English Proficiency Score report for International students

International Students applying from non-native English speaking countries, have to submit their TOEFL or IELTS score, to prove their proficiency in the English language. The average score required for Brescia University College is mentioned in the table below:

Brescia University College Graduate Admissions

Brescia University College offers Graduate programs in two fields: MSc. in Food and Nutrition and MEng in Food Processing.

  • BSc. in Food and Nutrition or a related equivalent 4-year degree is required to be eligible to enroll in MSc. in Food and Nutrition.
  • Also, undergraduate courses in Research Methodology and Statistics.
  • MEng in Food Processing is offered by Brescia University College in collaboration with the Western University.
  • 4-year (Hons) degree in Engineering or Food Science or a related field is needed to be eligible to apply for MEng. in Food Processing
