Admission Requirement

To be granted admission to Herzing College, applicants need to be at least 18 years of age on the start date of the program. International applicants need to submit the following documents required for admission -

  • Original birth certificate and official translation into French or English
  • Quebec issued a high school diploma for domestic applicants
  • International applicants need to submit the equivalent high school/diploma transcripts
  • English Language Proficiency
  • Copy of passport

English and French Language Proficiency Requirements for International Students

Since the diploma programs are either in English or French, international students need to fulfill the required language proficiency. For programs conducted in English, applicants need to submit any one of the following test scores.

Note- Applicants who come from a non-English speaking high school but attended a post secondary educational facility instructed in English may be considered for exception from providing English language proficiency requirement. However, this exception is not guaranteed.

French Language Requirement

International applicants who wish to enroll in programs conducted in French, the required language proficiency level are as follows-

  • DEC programs: B1 level
  • AEC programs: B2 level

Immigration

International students must maintain valid status throughout their studies and stay in Canada. International applicants must obtain the following documents to study in Quebec province-

  • Valid Certificat d’Acceptation du Québec (CAQ)
  • Valid Study Permit
  • Health and Hospitalization Insurance (issued by Herzing College)
  • One of the following three options
    • Evaluation of academic records by Herzing College as recognition of prior learning
    • Comparative evaluation of studies outside Quebec
    • Equivalency certificate of secondary education (Attestation d'équivalence de niveau secondaire - A.E.N.S or TDG)

The entrance to courses is on a first come first serve basis. Since seats are limited, international applicants are advised to submit the application form and required documents well in advance to secure their admission. International applicants must take note that completion of their course does not guarantee a work permit after graduation.
