I came to know about this business school through my relatives living in Ottawa, Canada. Actually, I started looking for colleges in Canada right after the completion of my BBA with 80% marks. I always dreamed about pursuing my post-graduation in MBA from abroad. I applied in three business schools including DeGroote, the business school was cheaper as compared to others therefore, I preferred it over others.

    Fees :

My full-time tuition fee for whole programs is around $80000. MBA entrance scholarships are available which ranges around $2000 -$10000. Moreover, GMAT scores could significantly increase the scholarship amount.

During my junior year, I attended a summer program at McMaster which turned out to be very good. And I became familiar with the campus in a few weeks. Since then I had decided to take admission to McMaster University only. I applied for the university through a common application form.

    Fees :

The tuition fee I am required to pay each year is around $48000 and above that, books and supplies cost me around $1300. Personal expenses can amount to $1000. Various Scholarships and Awards are available for financial assistance. Entrance Awards, Marjorie Anderson financial award, Provost entrance scholarships are some of them.

One of my friends told me about this university as she herself did her graduation from the same place. After she told me about the university I did deep research. Then finally I applied to the university. My 85% in high school, as well as the English proficiency marks, helped me to get through it.

    Fees :

I paid up to $22000 as the tuition fee for my course. There are many scholarships that are offered by my university. Some scholarships include McMaster's Scholarships/Honours Awards. For this scholarship, I was automatically considered.

Because it's the best university. It comes under the world's best research university. It is located in Hamilton Ontario. In McMaster, you can find courses for every field engineering, medical, arts, commerce also games. This university provides lots of benefits to international students like an on-campus living, meals from different countries as well as the smoking free environment.

    Fees :

The total tuition fee for my course was $29,100. It was for 3semesters. My brother paid my fees so I didn't get any loan for that. But, it is very huge as compared to local students. Therefore, according to me this is not fair but overall study at my university was very good as well as other facilities provided also helps to learn more about Canada.

I previously completed my bachelors degree at McMaster University in Honours Life Sciences with a minor in Biochemistry (2018). The admissions process consisted of marks from the final year of undergraduate studies, an academic CV, a personal statement, and 2 letters of reference from academic/research supervisors, and application fee was $100. I only applied to one Master's program. My final year GPA was 3.96 on 4.00 scale.

    Fees :

The total tuition for this program is $7008 annually. A course-based stream can usually be completed in 1 year. A thesis-based stream can be completed in 2 years. International applicants may apply to a number of scholarships available on the School of Graduate Studies website. I highly recommend checking early and keeping track of deadlines as applications are done via Mosaic (the administrative system used at McMaster) and are easy to miss.

Mcmaster which is one of the top 100 universities in the world had a similar program for what I was looking for M.Sc. Biology thesis-based. The admission process was easy because of the administration staff of my department. They were helpful in guiding me on how to contact the supervisors. I emailed supervisors if they were ready to accept any new graduate students and luckily I received a response from a supervisor asking to send my transcripts and resume. I sent all the documents and upon the interview, he was ready to accept me as a student in his lab. Later on, I paid the application fee and applied online to the university. My scores were high in the bachelor of science (A+).

    Fees :

The tuition fee for an international student was $18,000 per year. For masters at McMaster, it's usually 3 semesters in a year and is four 6 semesters in total. My fee was $36,000 for two years. I got a teaching assistantship of $17,000 for two years and a graduate scholarship of $3,500 and an international excellence award of $5000 for two years. A total of $25,500 was obtained from the university. There was a deduction of taxes for TA money. I have taken a loan from a private bank in India of $20,000 for my living expenses and also to cover my other fees.

I enjoy the size of the campus which is relative to a medium sized campus. It is easily navigatable during the first week of school. The furthest classes were only an 8-minute walk which was absolutely perfect because you could go back to back classes with no problem. I also opted for this University because I believed they had a great Commerce program and it would help me reach my career goal of doing something in the Finance area.

    Fees :

The fees are roughly 5-8k per semester for the Commerce program. There are other charges such as a Dental Plan which you can opt out of if you don't want it. They also have a fee for the bus pass included in your fees but ultimately is a valuable asset because if you use the bus often it makes up for it.

It had an internship program and was a good distance from my house. I loved the look and feel of the campus. It was a big campus but still felt cozy because of the way the buildings looked. I read good things about the school on the internet and was highly ranked in the province and country.

    Fees :

The fee for each course was basically the same. There were additional charges in our tuition for extra things we don't necessarily use like all the clubs but good for all students.

The campus was excellent and the environment, in general, felt nice. I found that the engineering program at McMaster was quite up to par with some of the top universities here in Canada. I believe when I graduate, I will feel like my undergrad was not a waste of time.

    Fees :

Approx 20k with everything including tuition housing and student fees that need to be filled. The gym takes about $100 as well per semester.

The community was really welcoming and there were a lot of ways to get involved. Furthermore, McMaster University is recognized in Canada and worldwide. I always wanted to go to a prestigious institution.

    Fees :

We play based on units in a course. A regular course has 3 units which are a little over $1000 for engineering students. If the course is 4 or 5 units then the fee for the course is more. Along with tuition, there?s the student union fee and residence if you live on campus.

McMaster University - Ontario, canada: 1 answered questions

Ques. What are the strongest academic programs at McMaster University?

    ● Top Answer By Niharika Gandhi on 11 Jan 21

Ans. McMaster is one of the best among global universities so it won't be an exaggeration to say that almost all of its programs are pretty strong and well known. It ranks #4 in Canada so you can imagine the competition and crowd it must attract. They are specially known for their graduate employability in and outside Canada.  Still, it is especially known for its medical, engineering and IT related programs. However, you need to be very good to get into those programs as the competition there is seriously insane. You might get inside but staying there is another deal altogether. Other than these, their programs in the fields of arts, humanities and business have also garnered significant recognition in recent years. MacMaster’s DeGroote School of Medicine is among the top 50 medicine universities as per THE Medicine Ranking.  While its DeGroote Business School is ranked #200-250 globally, it has been ranked #9 in Canada by the Canadian Business Magazine with an average starting salary of 68,000 CAD. This university is popular for its problem-based student centered learning. Its excellence is evident by its recent rank in the top global universities. These are MacMaster’s top ranked subjects according to QS: The university is a research-intensive medical-doctoral university and has been gaining new heights for its clinical, pre-clinical, and health programs. It brings about 379 million CAD research income. The outpacing peers in research averaging 443,700 CAD per faculty accounts for more than double of the national average.Read more
