    University of Montreal Campus

The main campus of UdeM is situated on 65 hectares of land on the northwestern slope of Mount Royal, inarguably recognized as one of North America’s finest urban parks. • The Laval Campus located at Cité du savoir is home to some specialized programs like nursing, psychology, social work, preschool education, and elementary special needs teaching.
    • Just like the main campus, the Laval campus is easily accessible to students as it is linked by a tunnel to the Montmorency metro station

    University of Montreal Residence

On-campus and off-campus housing are available to students of UdeM. On-campus housing at the University of Montreal's main campus is reserved for regular full-time students of the university. There is no housing for couples due to the limitation in the number of rooms available. Rent for a single room on campus is around 380 CAD a month and 4,560 CAD a year.

Students interested in residing off-campus can visit the off-campus housing office as the Bureau has a data bank of affordable and easily accessible apartments and rooms near the university campus or in neighborhoods.  In comparison to other big cities in Canada, off-campus rent at Montreal is reasonable and affordable which makes it one of the best cities for international students in Canada.

The off-campus housing office (Bureau du logement hors campus) cannot make reservations for students in advance, thus new students are advised to arrive at the campus two to three weeks before the beginning of classes to find housing. Off-campus rooms are usually furnished with rent of around 4,800 to 6,000 CAD per year depending on the location. The rent covers electricity, hot water, heating, and the use of the kitchen. Off-campus apartments include a private kitchen and bathroom with a stove and refrigerator and the rental fee cost about 5,500 CAD to 100,000 CAD per year.

I always wanted to pursue my graduation from Canada. I did a lot of research before applying to the university but I was too confused. My uncle who lives in Canada helped me to choose this college. I applied through the Online Application form available on the official website, with an application fee of around $90.

    Fees :

The fee structure of the college is for undergraduate courses varies from $5550-$6500 but my fee was nearly 5500 CAD including all the expenses towards college.

I opted for this college because it was the only one that had a criminology program in Montreal. I applied to a total of 4 other colleges in other programs. I went to CEGEP in law, society & Justice at Dawson college and graduated with an r score of 30.6. The admission process was pretty easy but you did need to pay a fee of about $150.

    Fees :

The fee is $2000 per semester for residents & that's to take 5 classes in one semester. I had money saved up so I didn't need a loan nor a scholarship to be able to pay my fees or my textbook or any expense really. I've worked as a cashier for around 2 years. But I know a lot of people that have taken loans.

It's the closest one, they have classes (in Laval and Montreal) only 40 mins away from me! they have very great reviews. the only other school that has criminology is 3 hours away. The admission fees were a bit expensive, around 2000$, but I like this school. I applied for this one and the one in Quebec which is three hours, but after visiting it, I didn't feel comfortable and the classes weren't as interesting as the ones in Montreal.

    Fees :

My tuition fee was around 2000$. I know there are scholarships available for international students, we have people from France and the United States, which is very nice.

When I actually started contemplating applying for an MBA, I was an IT Professional with an experience of 5 years. I had lost track of college education and learning over the period I was working. Hence, I focused on institutes I could easily get into without compromising on the quality of education. My idea was to complete the course as quickly as possible. Under my colleague's guidance, I tracked HEC Montreal offering a year MBA with an added bonus of french environment. Having studied French in high school, my instincts got way out of me to apply to the college without a second thought.

    Fees :

Compared to other colleges in Quebec, HEC Montreal was affordable for me. I paid a total tuition fee of about $31000 apart from other expenses that include accommodation. Many types of scholarships and aids include need-based, encouragement, entrepreneurship, research, and academic excellence. But unfortunately, I didn't receive any of the scholarships through the institute.

Because it's good in my program. I also wanted to move out of my hometown, and Montreal is the second biggest city in Canada. Furthermore, it is way less expensive than any other anglophone city to study.

    Fees :

It is around 1600 (all included) for 5 classes. The insurance is around 350 for the whole year. You are charged by the semester and not yearly.

It has the world's best civil law program given in the French language, and it also allows me to continue living at my family's home. The resources that the school has and give for free most of the time, are numerous.

    Fees :

Tuition around 2000$, other charges such as law books and jurisprudence, and a laptop is a necessity.

HEC Montreal's excellence in management teaching and research is recognized worldwide. As proof, the School was the first in North America to be awarded the three most prestigious international accreditations in its field: AACSB International, EQUIS and AMBA.

    Fees :

It costs around CAD 9000$ for Canadian and French students, less for Quebec students and more for the rest of the international students.

I had a friend that went there and it seems great. Moreover, I'm from France and I wanted to go to Montreal and it was one of the best business schools there. I went to meet to learn about the school and it looks awesome. They have a trilingual course that I was interested in, so I took it.

    Fees :

We are paying for the course. Often students are taking 5 courses by session. We have to pay fees for each session it's around 800$ per course. You can pay less if you take fewer courses and more if you want more class.

They have an autodidact approach to learning that I prefer over traditional classes. They focus on teamwork and problem resolution. It is also affiliated with one of the best children's hospitals in my city.

    Fees :

Considering that I am living in Quebec, tuition and fees are quite low. The fees go towards the equipment they offer us and future upgrades in such equipment. I believe the fees and tuition we pay is very just.

I decided to opt for this university because it was the only one who had courses in the French language all across Canada, and it was cheaper for me to attend this college. It is also one of the best universities in the world.

    Fees :

We have to pay for college fees and sport facilities fees because our college owns a huge structure in Montreal. We need to pay for the healthcare system but it doesn't cost a lot compared to some universities.
