This University is 8 hours away from my hometown, so I thought it'd be a good opportunity to gain independence while still not being too far from my family (within the same province). The University has provided me with so many opportunities, such as working as a Resident Advisor, working in admissions, and getting to know so many people! I also plan on attending law school and they have an amazing law program so that was a huge reason for choosing this school. The dorms are great for first moving away from home and provided me with so many friendships.

    Fees :

The Faculty of Arts tuition structure is around 4,400. Tuition fees at the University of Manitoba are dependent on the number of courses a student is enrolled in and their faculty. We have a financial aid and awards website which lists all the scholarships available to University students, including international. There is also entry scholarships, which includes 3000 for those with a 95-100 average, 2500 for 90-94 and 2000 for 85-89.

This is the university closest to my house. It is fairly affordable especially when comparing when residence would be needed. They offer a wide range of classes which was good as I didn't know what I wanted to get into. Admission was straight forward as I went in right after high school, I only applied to one school.

    Fees :

The tuition fee is comparable to other universities in Manitoba. I am aware of some scholarships for all students including M_tis, international, different fields, lots of workplaces offer them as well. Not sure specifically about international students. I have not applied for any scholarships yet, the school Itself also has lots available.

There were more opportunities at this university when it comes to resources, better gym, more people and definitely better socials. Had a large variety of programs including the program I did which the previous university didn't have. Admission Process Easy, application fees roughly $4500, didn't apply to other ones.

    Fees :

The Fee was roughly $4500.00 or so since it was a science program. It was similar to the Faculty of Science, and most of the additional charges are for the labs that were used. For international students, there are scholarships available on the websites including the faculty website and the University of Manitoba Website.

There was a good hands-on theatre program that allowed me to experience what I wanted to do and explore. The campus felt safe to walk around. The campus is also very pretty and perfect for taking pictures. This theatre program allows you to expand your horizons and allows you to meet people involved in the industry. The other classes offered are also very interesting.

    Fees :

There is an entrance scholarship awarded based on your grade average going into your first year, other than that there are other financial opportunities dependent on your financial needs and income level. Also other financial aids depending on your faculty or program that you?re in. The financial aid takes a while to kick in and you also have to stand in line for a long time.

People representing the University of Manitoba came to my high school and shared everything with us. They told us about the gym, the programs, the cost, the pool, sports teams, what you need to get where you want to go, and so much more. They were students at the University of Manitoba and they were very convincing. They were very helpful and convinced a lot of us to attend.

    Fees :

The fee structure is all laid out on aurora, University of Manitoba website. They have expensive student fees but you can opt-out of some. There are scholarships available for everyone, including aboriginal people, international, etc. They are hard to get but there are many available if you want to give the essays and questions a shot.

I started my journey of studying abroad when I was in grade 11th, the second term to be more specific. Many of my friends question my decision, of why I'm choosing Winnipeg but not the big city Toronto or the flamboyant Vancouver, why I'm choosing somewhere that. I came to Canada to get a better education, to get a better future, and where I came from - Viet Nam is very different from here. The living expenses here are skyrocketed for normal Vietnamese citizens, in other word, Winnipeg is the only place I could afford. University of Manitoba is the best university in my province, and after trying and trying, I finally got the entrance scholarship of the second tier.

I was scouted by the soccer team and given the scholarship to join this University and play CIS soccer. The school also had a range of great programs a lot of flexibility, low tuition, and I had friends and family going there. It was close to home, affordable, nice campus, parking and living options nearby. I love math and sciences. The courses went well for me. There's a range of opportunities in engineering and they also are aiming to increase female participation. I excelled in my course and made great friends. I maintain a 3.0 GPA whilst playing university soccer for four years. I discovered I loved coding and computer science. Engineering has a massive range of jobs you can go into and it helps you towards a job that can serve the public or make the world a better place. I think I'd like to do work that addresses climate change and I think it's important we work towards stopping and mitigating the environmental crisis we are in.

    Fees :

Approximately $6500 a year for a Canadian citizen. Approx $1200 a year for an international student. There are loans form the government available, numerous scholarships and bursaries available, and entrance scholarships and atheistic scholarships available. There are multiple forms of aid you just have to apply.

After completing BBA, I developed a keen interest in business-related subjects. Therefore I decided to pursue my master's in the same field. I applied for a few business schools in Canada and got selected in two to three of them. Then I took admission at the University of Manitoba. The application form cost me $100.

    Fees :

I paid $765 per credit hour as my tuition fees. I also made a payment of $1200 towards the Health and dental plans at my university. Some of the scholarships that are available include the International Undergraduate Student Entrance Scholarships, International Baccalaureate Entrance Scholarships, International Undergraduate Student Scholarships, and International Student Bursaries.

Bachelor of Fine Studies course is what I was looking forward in order to pursue at the graduation level. I applied to the various colleges and universities that offer my course of interest. And luckily I was selected in more than two universities. Then I took the admission at the University of Manitoba. As it was cost-efficient and the application procedure was a bit easy.

    Fees :

For my bachelor's degree in fine studies, I paid approximately $14800 as the tuition fee. I also paid $1500 for the textbooks and for the other supplies at my university. The University of Manitoba offers bursaries and scholarships to all of us irrespective of nationality.

I scored 83% in the Medical stream in my high school in India and I applied to Simon Fraser University and the University of Manitoba because my relatives suggested to me these two universities as a good one. I received the offer letter for both universities but there was a huge difference in fees between both universities. Considering that and reading more about the University of Manitoba online, I decided to choose the University of Manitoba.

    Fees :

Being an international student the fee is quite higher than the Canadian residents. My approximate fee for a year is about $20,000-$22,000 (Not to mention it was approximately $32,000 in Simon Fraser University) There are many scholarships available for students. Most of them are based on your GPA and some are based on other different criteria.

Ques. Which Canadian university is better for a foundation course, Ryerson University, University of Manitoba or Dalhousie University?

    ● Top Answer By Supriya Kolli on 03 Feb 21

Ans. While all these have their own perks, it's a given to prefer Dalhousie over Ryerson and Manitoba. QS Graduate Employability Rankings 2020 has ranked only Dalhousie University at #301-500. Ryerson is your best choice if you're planning to live in a big city- while the others are situated in small towns. Still, all three have pretty similar foundation courses and ultimately depends on how seriously you take it. Ryerson University is known for many leading programs like Journalism, Sports Media, Arts, Communication and Design, Community Services, Engineering, and Business; there are some specialised programs only for international students with the Ryerson ESL Foundation Program. It has 62 undergraduate programs and 49 minor technical programs. The University of Manitoba is one of the oldest medical-doctoral research universities known for its professional schools like law, engineering, business, medicine, dentistry, architecture which has a total of 108 different degrees, diplomas, and certificates. Dalhousie University is known for many leading programs like Arts & Humanities, Clinical, pre-clinical & health, Engineering & Technology, Life sciences, Physical sciences, Social sciences, and Business & Economics. It has 120 undergraduate programs, and 80+ postgraduate and doctorate programs.Ryerson University has been ranked #601-800, the University of Manitoba has been ranked #351-400, and Dalhousie University has been ranked #251-300 by The Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2021. All these three universities have a good placement with 86.7% Employment rate of Ryerson University, 83% for the University of Manitoba, and 84% for Dalhousie University.Read more
