I chose the University of Ottawa because they offered a coop program. I also chose this school because I felt that as I wanted to go into account the fact that their business program allowed you to specialize early on was a plus.
Course Curriculum :
Some classes could be more up to date as some material in relation to technology is no longer relevant while other courses as long as they are taught by professors who understand the material well and want the students to learn are beneficial.
Fees :
You pay per semester depending on the number of courses you are taking and then once a year you pay for student fees which includes a bus pass.
Examination Structure :
I find some to be fairer than others. While having them spread over 2 weeks has the potential to give students enough time to study. The only flaw I find is that due to the fact that it is so random some people end up with 2 exams on the same day at the beginning of the exam period giving an unfair disadvantage
Faculty :
I have not interacted with the whole faculty but for the most part, a lot of the profs who are there because they want to teach as a full-time job are very helpful.
