Academia is not that bad

8.2 /10

It had the program I wanted, affordable, and close to home. I felt that it was a decent size and that it would be a good university to have on my CV. I find the campus to be very beautiful as well as the people very easy to collaborate with!

Course Curriculum :

I really like it! Over all I feel like it teaches us skills we will needs for the working world and gives us critical thinking skills we will need in order to be successful in the working world. In the first two years it is mostly learning the building blocks of how to do our science, and last two years applying it practically.

Fees :

You pay tuition by end of the first day of your new semester. It is around three thousand dollars a semester but you get charged for random things like being a day late to hand in your tuition check and parking is awful. Very few classes have a materials charge.

Examination Structure :

The exams are either written or take home. The written exams we have 3 hours for our final and anywhere from an hour and twenty to and hour for midterms which make them quite hectic for certain classes. 95% of them are essay style.

Faculty :

The faculty is pretty good for the most part, however there is a bit of a lack of diversity in the program as well as in the university itself. There are moves to change this, but so far there has not been any change for a long time.
