Humber college is the only school that offers a bachelor program for paralegal studies! I wanted to get a degree so I could have the potential to carry on to law school but also get a substantial legal education.
Course Curriculum :
My course curriculum is of a very high standard to match a legal education that is similar to the first years of law school! Humber employs professionals from the industry in their faculty and ensures students receive a quality education.
Internship :
Yes, the program offers an internship for 420 hours, this internship was a great hands-on experience in the paralegal field and helped me to figure out what I would like to pursue post-graduation. The length of the internship was also a very good fit.
Fees :
Tuition was paid by semester, there was a deposit amount and then final payment. Other fees included textbooks and school materials. Many courses requires a textbook but this text will be useful in future practice so is worth the fee.
Examination Structure :
The exams are usually well structured and easy to prepare for, or open book. You are not tested on memorization but rather the application of your knowledge- that you should have acquired. The exams are twice a semester and always have review periods.
Faculty :
The college faculty is one of a kind, Humber employs professionals of a very high standard who are either retired or currently working in the Canadian Legal system! This ensures that students are taught with quality and currency.
