My Time at McMaster

RK
8.0 /10

It had an internship program and was a good distance from my house. I loved the look and feel of the campus. It was a big campus but still felt cozy because of the way the buildings looked. I read good things about the school on the internet and was highly ranked in the province and country.

Course Curriculum :

The curriculum improved since I started. We had to take computer science in the first year which was not a helpful course but they took it out now. We didn't take any accounting courses in the first year which was not helpful at all.

Internship :

Yes, they were helpful with the application process and throughout the internship. It was a 16-month internship which is a great option to really integrate into the company and learn a lot. The school helped us with applying.

Fees :

The fee for each course was basically the same. There were additional charges in our tuition for extra things we don't necessarily use like all the clubs but good for all students.

Scholarship :

Very simple to apply for bursaries every year but the scholarship process was long and limited. Not many options and had to do a lot to apply.

Examination Structure :

Good, too simple sometimes with only multiple choice exams. Other schools in similar programs had more challenging exams which helped them learn more. it's not always good to have easy exams. Most exams were similar to previous years and were easy to memorize.

Faculty :

Most of them seemed lazy and used similar tests every year but there were a handful of good ones that really cared and were always willing to help. a few of the bad ones have left the school since.
