What students say about Delhi College of Arts and Commerce - [DCAC]

Likes

  • The Journalism Programme offered by DCAC is one of the best courses offered to students at a national level.
  • Well, DCAC has a really great insight into the placement cell and internship companies such as PwC, Google, and Deloitte are part of the placement.
  • They have a placement cell. Placements have been very good in my year, and a good amount of salary is being offered to students who fit the criteria of the company.
  • Fees for BA Hons Journalism are just rupees 17895 for a year, which is very convenient since journalism includes many different tasks.
  • My college, Delhi College of Arts and Commerce, is a very good college on the south campus. It has one ground and one pitch for cricket, a cafeteria, a library, football goalposts, and a table tennis table.
  • There is no hostel, so how can I explain it? But on campus, there are hostels in both the south campus and the north campus. The hostel facilities are good, and no one can think that the place is a hostel. Everything is good there.
  • Because DU is well-known as one of the best universities in Delhi, and even throughout India.

Dislike

  • There are other kinds of scholarships offered by organizations that students can try to avail.
  • Campus life is seriously boring with a small college and not much of a playground. Additionally, there isnt much life nearby the college, mainly because it is located in a residential area.
  • The infrastructure of Delhi College of Arts and Commerce is very poor, and the canteen does not serve students properly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Faculty members are so good and supportive. BCom(Hons) is one of the most prominent courses offered by DU. The faculty is highly educated here. The student ratio- there are 120 students in BCom(Hons) divided into two sections. There are about 15-20 faculty members in the Commerce department. Most of the faculty members are Ph.D. Holders and have expertise in their field. Semester exams are held every 6 months and conducted by the University itself. The exam level for all the colleges of DU is the same.

Remarks:

Cut-offs are not as high as those of North Campus colleges. Anyone can easily take a seat by scoring decent scores of around 90% + marks in CUET. Reservation facilities are also available as per the NTA notifications. Merits- Crowd, Environment, Library, Faculty. Demerits- Infrastructure, Canteen. There is n number of societies where students can take part.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I just want to get a graduation degree and nothing else. The faculty is very qualified, knowledgeable and helpful. In my class, there were 45 students. The exams are semester wise and exams are not really tough it's easy.

Remarks:

You just need to match the cut-off percentage that's it there was no entrance exam you can find the application form on du's website. Yes, there are reservation benefits as if you are SC/ST so your admission cut-off is less. The admission process is very easy to my knowledge there is no need for improvement.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I particularly choose this course as I have so much interest in that domain. In this college, at that time the faculty was also good and helpful. All are well educated with a Ph.D. degree. The faculty never say No to you if have the zeal to build your career. They can give you notes and other required materials related to the course. They will also help you with the exam time by telling you what's important and what's not. The exam was not too tough if you have the proper notes and understanding of the concepts.

Remarks:

Admission for this particular course is based on the cut-off list. You have to go to the admission desk of the college and get the application form, fill it and submit it with the documents needed. The admission process is simple and though there are a lot of students so there should be enough staff members to handle the admission process smoothly.

Placement Experience:

You have an opportunity to get placement from this college you are eligible for placement I'm 5th or 6th semester, and companies visiting the college like Reliance, Tata, and another lot of companies made many offers and the highest package is around 15 lakh and the average package on 5 to 6 lakh, also 50 -60% students get placement.

Remarks:

Eligibility, of course, is just good marks in your 12th class at that time, but at present, you have to get good marks in CUET.2023, at least 700/800. You can find the application form on Delhi university's official website and 250 rupees for the application form fee. The overall admission process is quite good you need to be patient.
