Delhi School of Economics Admissions 2023 is based on Common University Entrance Test (CUET) scores which is conducted by NTA for all UG and PG programmes. For all UG courses, aspirants need to appear for CUET UG and For all PG programs except MBA admissions applicants are required to appear for CUET PG. For DSE MBA admissions, CAT is accepted followed by GD-PI extempore. For PG admissions, 50% of total seats are to be filled on a merit basis in their qualifying examination for those students who did their bachelor’s degrees from Delhi University and the remaining 50% of seats are to be allocated on the basis of CUET PG scores. Delhi School of Economics UG Admission 2023

DSE offers two programs at the UG level for the duration of three years, namely B.A (Hons.) in Economics & B.A Program. Students seeking admission to DSE B.A (Hons.) in Economics must complete 10+2 level with 60% marks in aggregate. To pursue DSE B.A Program, candidates are required to have 40% marks in aggregate from a recognized board of education. The final selection will be done on the basis of CUET marks followed by an e-counselling process. 

Delhi School of Economics UG Eligibility Criteria

  • For DSE B.A (Hons.) Economics, candidates must have 60% marks in 10+2 level from a recognized board. 
  • To pursue DSE B.A Program, Candidates are required to complete a 10+2 level with at least 40% marks in the aggregate from a recognized board of education. 

Delhi School of Economics UG Selection Process 

Delhi School of Economics accepts Common University Entrance Test (CUET) scores for admission to the UG program. The final selection will be done through the e-counseling process. 

  • CUET comprises 3 sections, the first section includes language, the second is based on ‘Domain-Specific Topics’ & the third section is for the General Knowledge which will be required for admission to BA program only.
  • Students must appear in at least one language out of 33 languages.
  • For the second section, candidates must choose at least three subjects that they have taken in class 12th as domain-specific topics. Candidates can appear for CUET in a maximum of six subjects out of which one must be a language subject. Check CUET 2023 Exam Pattern
  • For B.A (Hons.) Economics: Candidates must take a test in Mathematics in CUET. The obtained score will be calculated on the basis of marks achieved in language, Mathematics & other two subjects. 
  • For BA Program: Candidates must appear in the entrance test in any one language from section one and in any three subjects from the other section. Merit will be calculated on the basis of marks obtained by the candidate in the same subject and language.

Admission through Sports and Extracurricular Activities (ECA): Candidates must appear in the performance test along with CUET. The selection will be made on the basis of the combined score of CUET (25%) and performance test (75%). Certificates will also be considered for the same along with the CUET score.

Delhi School of Economics UG Application Process

Candidates must register themselves by visiting the official website of NTA. To register for e-counselling process students are required to register the on DU admission portal. The following steps will help to apply for DSE UG course:

Delhi School of Economics MBA Selection Criteria

The admission to MBA course is done through three-layered process:

DSE offers MA in Economics at PG level. The duration of course is 2-years. Admission is done via Direct/Merit mode or through Admission test. 

Delhi School of Economics MA (Economics) Eligibility 

  • Direct/ Merit Mode: BA (Hons) Economics degree form DU with at least 60% marks in aggregate.
  • Admission Test Mode: UG/ PG degree from DU with at least 605 marks in aggregate or first Division or equivalent CGPA.

Delhi School of Economics MA (Economics) Selection Criteria

  • Admission to the course is done on the basis of the candidate's performance in the past qualifying exam and entrance exam.
  • Only the candidates who have qualified the entrance exam are eligible to apply for Merit seats. 
  • The entrance exam will contain objective type questions and there will be negative marking for wrong answers.

Delhi School of Economics acts as a research center for the Delhi University and offers following PhD and M.Phil in Economics.

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 55% marks.

Delhi University has introduced the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) for admission to UG courses for all its affiliated colleges. The entire process is explained below:

Phase 1: CSAS Application Form

  • Aspirants are required to fill the CSAS application form on the centralized admission portal by paying a one-time non-refundable application fee.
  • ECA and sports quota candidates will have to pay an additional fee.

Phase 2: Selection of Courses and College Preferences

  • Second phase will start after the results of the CUET examination are declared.
  • After the CUET Result declaration, eligible candidates will have to select the courses and fill the preference of desired colleges on the centralised CSAS portal.

Phase 3: Seat Allocation and Final Admission

  • Merit list will be declared on the basis of CUET scores.
  • Multiple rounds of seat allotment will be conducted. 
  • Candidates will have to check if they have been allotted a seat on the CSAS dashboard. If allotted, candidates must accept their seat on or before the given date for that particular round.
  • Seat allocation will be based on multiple factors such as - combination of college and program chosen, position of the candidate on the merit list, category (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/UR) of the candidate, and availability of seats.
  • Upon acceptance of seat, the university will check eligibility, verify documents, and confirm admission after receiving the payment of fee.

    DU UG admission 2023  will begin soon.  Delhi University  will conduct admission to all UG courses based on Common University Entrance Test (CUET, conducted by NTA. Registrations for CUET UG 2023 have been reopened and the last date to submit the application form is April 11, 2023. Interested candidates can apply online on the official website – cuet.samarth.ac.in. CUET UG 2023  exam will be conducted between May 21 and May 31, 2023.  Delhi University has removed the cutoff-based system for admission to UG courses. DU admission 2023 to all UG courses will be based on CUET UG scores. Admissions to all UG courses at DU affiliated colleges will be conducted through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal. The admission process includes three phases, in the first phase aspirants are required to fill the CSAS portal by visiting the official website – admission.uod.ac.in. Phase 2 includes filling out programs and college preferences and seat allotment will be done in the third phase. The university will be conducting multiple rounds of seat allocation based on the colleges and programs combination filled by students. Selected candidates then can choose to accept/freeze or upgrade their seats by the given date. Upon acceptance of a seat, the respective college will check eligibility, verify documents, and confirm admission after receiving the fee payment. Selection for Sports and Extracurricular Activities (ECA) candidates will be made on the basis of combined score of CUET (25%) and performance test (75%). Certificates will also be considered for the same along with the CUET score. As per the DU admission policy, 50% seats are reserved for minorities in colleges like St. Stephens. 85% of marks for admission will be taken from the CUET, and colleges will decide the remaining 15%. Admission to the remaining 50% seats will be done on the basis of CUET marks only.
