Amar Jyoti Institute of Physiotherapy is situated in Delhi and is affiliated to the University of Delhi. AJIPT is recognized by the Indian Association of Physiotherapists and the Delhi Council for Physiotherapy & Occupational Therapy.

AJIPT offers full-time courses in Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) and Masters of Physiotherapy (MPT). Candidates cleared High School (class 12) are eligible to apply for BPT and for MPT, an undergraduate degree in physiotherapy is required to apply for admission. 

The admission to various programmes of the Amar Jyoti Institute of Physiotherapy is strictly by the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by the University of Delhi. The selection of the candidates for admission to the BPT will be made on the basis of merit in an Entrance Examination.

AJIPT Admission

Admissions at Amar Jyoti Institute of Physiotherapy is on the basis of an entrance exam. The entrance exam will be made on the basis of written merit in a Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by the University of Delhi. 

How to apply?

The admission process for the courses can be done either offline or online. The application process is as follows:

Online Application

  • To apply online candidates must visit the official website of the institute 
  • Candidates should go to the ‘’ Online Application Form” under Admission Open
  • Upon filling in all the necessary details and documents, certificate, signature and photograph, candidates should click on the ‘‘submit’” option
  • Candidates after submitting their documents can pay the registration fees online

Offline Application

  • Candidate can download the prospectus and the application form under Admission Open button on the official website of the institute with an application fee
  • The form alongside the fee in the form of DD must be drawn in favour of “Amar Jyoti Charitable Trust (BPT)” and must be deposited at the administrative office before the last date of application.
  • An Acknowledgment will be sent by the Institute via email, on receipt of a complete application form by the institution.

Documents required at the time of Counselling (along with original documents for verification)

  • Senior Secondary School Certificate issued by Board including Date of Birth.
  • Final Mark sheet of 12th scheme issued by Board.
  • Certificate prescribed by the authority for candidates seeking admission under the reserved category (SC/ST/OBC-NC/OH) or NRI sponsorship certificate, if applicable.
  • Migration certificate mandatory for candidate passed 12th Class before 2020.
  • Certificate of good conduct from the last Institute he/she attended.

AJIPT Scholarships:

The institute offers various scholarships for various meritorious students in the BPT course. The following scholarships are offered by the institute:

  • Dr Piyush Trivedi Memorial Scholarship: The scholarship is offered by Mr S. N. Punj, Punj Lloyd group. The scholarship is of Rs.12000/- and is offered to the one meritorious student from final year on an annual basis. The selection is on the criteria of performance in attendance, marks, discipline, extra-curricular activities from 1st to 3rd year. The shortlisted candidates have to appear for a written test and interview.
  • The Dan Sterner Award For All Round Excellence: This award is awarded to one outgoing physiotherapist on a yearly basis. The award aims to appreciate the overall performance of the student throughout the course. The cumulative academic performance as well as the student’s participation in and excellence in co-curricular & extra-curricular activities plus other qualities like leadership, participation in social work and general conduct.
