AFMC Pune offers a full-time MBBS program for a duration of 5.5 Years including compulsory rotating internship training of one year. The candidates admitted to the AFMC MBBS course will undergo internship training in selected service hospitals recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC). The selection of the candidates for admission to MBBS at AFMC Pune is based on NEET scores followed by a brief selection process including an Interview and Medical Examination at the college.

AFMC Pune MBBS Selection Criteria 

The selection of candidates for admission to the MBBS course at AFMC Pune is based on the score obtained in NEET UG conducted by NTA. The candidates have to mandatorily register and apply for AFMC, Pune on the Medical Counselling Committee website during the NEET Counseling registration window.

• The list of candidates who have applied for AFMC, Pune will be provided to the institute on the last day of registration.
• The merit list with the NEET Roll Number of the shortlisted candidates for further screening will be displayed on the website.
• The institute calls approximately 1700 candidates (1380 boys and 360 girls) for the screening.

The shortlisted candidates have to then appear for the following selection rounds: 

• Test of English Language, Comprehension, Logic and Reasoning (ToELR): 80 Marks
• Psychological Assessment Test (PAT): Qualifying
• Interview: 50 Marks
• Medical Examination: Qualifying

The final merit list of selected candidates will be based on the final score obtained (Written Examination Score + Interview Marks). PAT is a qualifying examination and the PAT score will not be considered for preparing the final merit list. The merit list will be displayed on the official website of AFMC Pune as well as on the Medical Counselling Committee.

AFMC Pune offers the B.Sc (Hons) Nursing and Post Basic B.Sc (Nursing) courses at the undergraduate level. The duration of B.Sc (Hons) Nursing is four years while Post Basic B.Sc (Nursing) is offered for two years. Admission to B.Sc (Hons) Nursing and Post Basic B.Sc (Nursing) is based on a valid AFMC Entrance Exam score, followed by a Personal Interview (PI).
