Dhanaji Nana Mahavidyalaya was established in 1961 by Tapi Valley Education Society as an educational institute to serve as a centre of ideas and thought that will contribute to the social, cultural and financial upliftment of rural community. The institution aims to protect and nurture the life of rich sustaining composite culture as well as grand historic tradition. The college was initially affiliated to university of Pune, and since 1990 it is affiliated to North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon. It is accredited by NAAC and recognized by UGC.
