Ques. How is Lady Hardinge Medical College for a surgery PG?

● Top Answer By Aaditya Hari Nair on 22 Oct 21

Ans. Prior to this, you should first be acquainted with how the units work. There are 5 units of Lady Hardinge Medical College under the Department of Surgery. Out of each, 3 are situated in LHMC, while the other 2 are at Dr. RML Hospital. In terms of academics, Lady Hardinge Medical College is amongst the top-rated institutes of the nation and is ranked quite higher. Most essentially, the institute conducts several theory classes, presentations, and various other pointers that lead students to have a robust hold over the subject area. Now, if you are familiar with the anatomical part, then as previously encountered, the 1st year residents are barely given the chance of “cutting”, on the contrary, the most they can do is assist seniors while they are pursuing the notion forward. During the 2nd year onwards, you will get a clearer vision of the surgery skills and maximum of the knowledge as is required. You can also secure an opportunity to conduct an independent procedure but under the critical guidance of a senior. Read more

Ques. Does Lady Hardinge Medical College and Maulana Azad Medical College take admissions through the AIPMT or do they have their own exam?

● Top Answer By Aaditya Hari Nair on 22 Oct 21

Ans. No, the institutes do not have separate examinations. Which is to say, the admissions can be availed under 2 categories: 15% National Quota 85% State Quota Now, you also have to go through AIPMT, wherein the seats are assigned to students based upon the rank they have secured, under the 1st category nonetheless. When talking about the applicants who qualify for the Delhi State Quota, there is a provision of a separate state-wise ranking. You are required to fill a separate form based upon the seats assigned, which most likely is 85% as the state quota.Read more

Ques. What is your review of Lady Hardinge Medical College?

● Top Answer By Aaditya Hari Nair on 22 Oct 21

Ans. One of my sisters is a part of Lady Hardinge College and her experience at the college has been amazing.  The college has a gigantic auditorium and administrative block, other than which there are no efficient places to talk about.  You will enjoy several outings during your stay at the college because the campus lacks a good food joint. You can also order food from nearby restaurants in Paharganj or Connaught Place. The food is nominally available in the food mess at the hostel which is not tasty.  The major downside is the infrastructure it has, as opposed to other institutes such as AIIMS, MAMC, or UCMS. The gymnasium at the college is not very well equipped. However, as per what my cousin states, it is a decent university when talking academically. Read more

Ques. What are some interesting things about Lady Hardinge Medical College?

● Top Answer By Aaditya Hari Nair on 22 Oct 21

Ans. Lady Hardinge Medical College is amongst the oldest institutes of the country, here are some points that might astonish you, at most, The institute hosts a cultural fest, every year, that goes by the name of Flash, which is a 4-day long event that mostly organizes several competitions and star nights. There are apparently 9 functional societies at the college including Dance, drama, fash, music, Sports, Photography, and others to encourage students regardless of the constant pressure. Most essentially, the hostel is open day in and day out, to allow students inside the plot at any given point. The union of the college conducts events almost every other month, such as LIT fest, Hostel day, Dandiya night, Lohri Party, Holi Celebration, and many others. These are amongst the best things that frequently occur at Lady Hardinge Medical College. Read more

Ques. Is there any dress code at Lady Hardinge medical college?

● Top Answer By Aaditya Hari Nair on 16 Oct 21

Ans. No, there’s nothing known as a dress code in the Lady Hardinge Medical College as there is nothing that should be followed if it comes to dress code.  This doesn’t mean that a student can dress up the way she wants to. However, it’s necessary to maintain decorum and dignity, and therefore, it’s required by a student to be dressed up neat, clean, and decently.  Being a professional college, the college doesn’t encourage messy looks or shabby clothes to be worn on the college’s campus.  In the initial/first years, the girls are retained from wearing things like slippers/chappals, dresses, shorts, or sleeveless tops. But, this rule exists only for the first-year students, and from the senior years, the students can wear whatever they want to.Read more

Admission :

We've got pretty simple admission criterion. During my admission, I first applied for MBBS, the course I wanted. Then I was selected on the basis of my NEET Examination Scorecard. The students are selected mostly on the basis of their NEET-UG and NEET-PG Examination Scorecard.

Admission :

The admission in the college is on the basis of entrance cum merit. I had to give the common medical entrance test, NEET UG, to get into the medical stream. The result as soon declared and on the basis of the marks that i scored in the exam and through the online counseling, i got into this college.

Remarks :

The college has a positive and healthy environment to study in. The campus is great and has a nice vibe. There is extensive availability of resources for all and the fee is extremely less being a government college.
