MA Rangoonwala College of Physiotherapy and Research was established in the year 2004 by Maharashtra Medical Education and Research Centre (MME&RC). MME&RC is a Trust registered under the Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950 in the year 1984. The college is affiliated to the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik and recognized by the Indian Association of Physiotherapists

  • The college is associated with Sassoon General Hospital, Pune; ZVM General Hospital, Command Hospital, Southern Command of Armed Forces Medical College, Pune and Noble Hospital, Hadapsar, Pune 
  • The college is a minority educational institute. It was started with 30 students. Now the institute consists of 114 students 10 teaching and 7 non-teaching staff
  • It offers Undergraduate and Postgraduate course in Physiotherapy. It has recognization from Maharashtra Council of Physiotherapy & Occupational Therapy
  • The college offers excellent facilities including latest lab, well-ventilated and lighted classrooms, seminar room, 49 seated bus to provide transport facility etc.
  • The Campus also holds a recreation hall for indoor games and also a grand stadium “The V.M. Gany Sports Complex & Pavilion” for outdoor games like throw ball, cricket, basket ball, foot ball, etc. 
  • Admission to the UG and PG courses is taken through College Entrance Test. The College Entrance Test is conducted for Muslim Minority Quota Seats. As regards admission of Non-Minority students, the same will be carried out on the basis of inter-se-merit of the candidates from Government Common Entrance Test (CET) marks who apply to the College when called upon to do so

The college organised rural physiotherapy camps in collaboration with Sakal Social Foundation.

January 2012

Students participated in the inter-collegeiate cricket Tournament of A.S.S.O.C.O.M College and in the Dance Competition organized by the S.S.P.M.S.College, Pune.

31st January, 2012

Rural Camp had been organized at village Vandre, Taluka Mulshi, Pune, by Sakal Social Foundation. Staff and students participated in the Camp. 143 patients were treated. Out of which 100 were school children and 43 were from geriatric population.

29th January,2012

Camp was organized by Al-Azhar Foundation at Roshan Masjid, Camp, Pune. Staff and students attended the camp. 83 patients were treated.

13th November, 2011

Students participated in rural camp at Loni Kalbhor and treated 63 patients.

24th December, 2011

Second Year Students and the Principal, Teaching Staff, visited National Institute of Virology (N.I.V). Students had very good exposure as they got the opportunity to visit BSL-III & BSL-IV labs. and understand the various sterillization techniques.
