Since its establishment in 1984, it has been working under the aegis of the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India. Admission to National Institute of Unani Medicine, Bangalore is entrance based. For PG courses, one needs to clear the AIAPGET and BUMS degree with a minimum aggregate score. Maximum age limit for General candidates is 35 years, for OBC candidates is 38 years and for SC, ST, Women is 40 years applying for PH.D courses.
