Aalim Muhammed Salegh College of Engineering B.E./ B.E. (LEET) Admission 2023
AALIMEC offers 4-years full-time B.E. course in six specializations. Applicants who have completed 10+2/ HSC or its equivalent qualifying examination with physics, chemistry, and mathematics/ vocational subjects from a recognized board/ university are eligible for admission to B.E. course.
Also, candidates who have completed Diploma in Engineering/ Technology awarded by the State Board of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu or have a BSc. with Mathematics as a compulsory subject at the graduation level are eligible for admission to second year of B.E. (Lateral Entry).
Admission of the candidate is done on the basis of their merit in the qualifying examination through TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission) conducted by the Anna University. Candidates who have their name listed in the rank list of TNEA prepared by normalizing the marks obtained in 10+2/ HSC or its equivalent examination are eligible to participate in the counselling process.

Key Points for Admission:
- Candidates are given admission through TNEA and are given reservation as per the rules prescribed by the admission committee.
- Applicants who belongs to SC/ ST/ OBC/ BC-Muslim/ Open Competition/ MBC-DNC/ SCA are facilitated with reservation scheme of the Institute.
- Candidates of General category should have secured at least 50% marks in the qualifying examination, while the candidates of OBC/ MBC/ DNC/ SC/ SCA/ ST category must have obtained minimum 40% marks to become eligible for TNEA.

The college offers two years full-time MCA course to the candidates. Key Points for Admission:
- Candidates who have completed their bachelor’s degree through lateral entry are exempted for taking admission into MCA course.
- Also, candidates who hold a B.E./ B.Tech/ BSc/ MSc Degree and have completed it through the weekend course are not eligible for admission to MCA.
- If in any case, applicants have completed their B.E./ B.Tech course through distance education then they are also not eligible for admission to MCA.

For B.E.
- Application form for TNEA can be filled through TNEA official website. Application fees to be paid by the candidates:
- Fees for Online Mode: INR 500 (General) and INR 250 (SC/ST/OBCs).
- Fees for Offline Mode: INR 700 (General) and INR 450 (SC/ST/OBCs).
- Photocopies of following documents have to be enclosed along with the application form:
- SSC and HSC Mark Sheet.
- HSC admit card.
- Transfer Certificate from last institute studied.
- Permanent Community Certificate Card for ST, SC, SCA, MBC & DNC, BC and BCM.

- After form filling candidates will have to sit for counseling.
- In counselling, candidates will be called in the order of merit. Based on the merit and communal reservation criteria, allotment of the branch/college chosen by the candidate will be done.
- For counselling fees, candidates have to pay an initial deposit of INR 5000/- (1000/- for SC/SCA/ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu) by Cash or DD and produce all their original certificates during counseling.
For MCA
- Application form for TANCET can be obtained at Anna University website.
- Application fees are to be paid online. Application fees is INR 500 for general category candidates and INR 250 for reserved category candidates.
- After declaration of result of TANCET, candidates have to register again at Anna University website for counseling process.
- Fees for counselling is INR 5300 for general category and INR 1150 for SC/ST. Fee is to be paid through cash or through DD. DD should be in favor of The Secretary, TANCA, Anna University” payable at Chennai.
