What students say about Amity School of Engineering & Technology - [ASET]

Likes

  • The course is very nice, and the environment is also very nice. The faculty is good and helpful, and they teach everything. Their nature is also great and gives us the path to go ahead in the course and our career.
  • It was awesome; I did it with NTPC Limited, Badarpur. It was an 8-week internship and was awesome.
  • Though, I would suggest bringing in more core companies for placements to provide better opportunities for students from non-IT backgrounds.
  • The college offers a very good scholarship for students who secure a good percentage in class 12, ranging from around 25% to 50%. They even provide a 100% tuition fee scholarship for outstanding candidates sometimes.
  • Campus life is one of the best; it always encourages students to participate in competitions, fests, and sports.
  • There are about 10 hostels in the college, and the hostel fee is INR 80,000 per annum without AC and 1.5 lakhs per annum with AC. Hostel infrastructure is quite good with all facilities and amenities.
  • I always love to share my experience of college life because it is just awesome. I am surrounded by the best people in my life.

Dislike

  • Colleges do provide internships, but they are only available for a few students, and the quality of these internships is not good either.
  • Sorry, I dont stay in a hostel, but Ive heard that its a bit congested, and there is a problem of losing things which the college doesnt provide.
  • Nothing is bad, but one thing students should keep in mind is whether they went there for studying or not.

Placement Experience:

There is a big scope for campus placement for cse student who knows to code in fact a little bit of coding also get you a minimum 3lac package and for good coding students it will have a good placement and internship also there college sends a student for internship. So placement is easy but only you have to do coding.

Remarks:

12th class, my PCM is required and 60 plus in PCM is also required application is available on the online amity website and the form cost is 1100 only, and for 80 plus you can take direct admission but below them, you have to give an entrance test that is very easy for PCM students and a scholarship is also their for CBSE student who got 90+ in their board exam but their school should be in their nearby location.

Placement Experience:

From the beginning of the sixth-semester students become eligible for internships and in 8th semester they are eligible for jobs too. There is a tremendous opportunity of getting campus placement for techies. Many clubs like data science, cyber security, artificial intelligence etc keep bringing competition opportunities on regular basis from your first semester only. Anyone who is interested to join a company which doesn't visit campus. Can give his name and company details to the placement cell of the university which is very active. It will definitely show them the path to getting a job in a dream company. There are many companies which visit the campus. A few of them are IBM, Cisco, Amazon, human ressocia, Google India, Lloyd etc. The highest offered package was 45lpa by human ressocia. Nearly every student gets the opportunity to work but many of them choose to study further, join a family business etc. I don't know the percentage of students who get placed on campus.

Remarks:

Eligibility for this course is to score more than 70 per cent in PCM in class 12th Anyone can find the application form on the website of Amity University (amity.edu.in). Then they have to fill up all the details regarding their subjects, marks etc. Then they have to go through the interview in which the interviewer will ask them three questions. On that basis, you'll get enrolled in this course. There are many scholarships available on the website one who is interested can go through them. The admission process is very smooth so no change is recommended
