AIT Pune Admissions

Selection Criteria:

The B.E. program is offered to the candidates in four specializations viz, Computer, Information Technology, Electronics and Telecommunication and Mechanical. The applicant must come from an Army background and must be an Intermediate (10+2) pass with Mathematics and Physics as compulsory subjects and Biology/ Biotechnology/ Chemistry/ Technical vocational subject as an optional subject. Admission to AIT will be on the basis of All India Rank obtained in the JEE Main.

The M.E. program is offered in Machine Design specialization. The candidate must belong to a retired/ serving army family with minimum 50% marks in B.E./ B. Tech from a recognized University. Admission to this program will be on the basis of marks secured in the GATE entrance exam.

How to apply?

The admissions are done Online. Admissions are allowed strictly to the wards of army personnel only.

They need to show Proof of eligibility in respect of the following categories:

Ward of serving Army personnel or of a regular Army pensioner (Submit Certificate No 1).
Ward of an ex-Army personnel granted pension benefits (Submit Certificate No 1).
Ward of ex-Army personnel who has taken discharge or released after ten years of service (Submit Certificate No 1).
Adopted child of an Army personnel (Submit Certificate No 2).
Ward of Army personnel (Submit Certificate No 2).
Ward of an ex-AMC/ADC Officer (Submit Certificate No 3).
Ward of an APS Personnel (Submit Certificate No 3).
Proof of Ward of War Widow (Battle Casualty Certificate along with C.T.C. of Part II Order (as per Appendix ‘A’

AIT Pune Placements

The primary ground on which colleges are chosen by students are placements. For Indian students mainly good colleges providing great placement and a good roi over fees are considered. AIT Pune Scholarships

The following scholarships are offered to Army personnel’s wards:

Hashman Scholarship: Every 10 meritorious students having no backlogs and having a 7.0 GPA in the last university exam are offered a scholarship of INR 15000. The Wards of divorcees/widows, martyrs, etc. are also eligible for the scholarship.
Horizon Scholarship: Any 10 Deserving and needy wards of JCO’s are offered INR 15,000 each. Also every 2 girl children are offered INR 25,000 each on Army Institute of Technology Day.
Udchalo Scholarship: Meritorious students are offered 32 scholarships worth 400000.

Hostels - There are a total of 4 Hostels for the students. 3 are for the boys and one of them is for the girls studying in the institute with facilities like gymnasium , yoga centres , and various other recreational facilities .

Admission:

For admission into ait, one's parent should be in the army other than that no students are allowed. you have to give the joint entrance exam for admission in ait Pune. After giving that you have to fill out the ait form from ait official website. They then display the merit list of students who got provisional admission on their website.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I have a great interest in mechanics I choose mechanical engineering in ait. each class has a total of 60 students, and each class has provided an individual faculty. Every faculty is well qualified with a master's degree with all of them. the term exam occurs in every month with a good level of questions

Management College with Army Ethos

There was an online application form with the basic details. It was followed by a Selection procedure of GDPI. Your CAT score is required for application. You can also opt for JEEMAT, which is the University entrance exam. However other entrance exam scores like XAT, MAT, SNAP, etc. are not accepted. All the admission-related information is available on the website itself.

The course is of 2 years and you can choose your specialization from Finance, HR, Marketing, or Business Analytics. The syllabus is based on and up to date with industry standards. Extra courses in skill development and personality development are also arranged by the college and are made compulsory for all students. The faculty are very supportive and professional.

To be eligible for admission to AIT, Pune, the candidate must meet the following criteria: The candidate must be the son/daughter of an Indian Army personnel. The candidates must have passed the 12th examination with the Non-Medical Science stream and have obtained 45% aggregate marks. Candidate must have appeared for the JEE Mains entrance exam and cleared the cut-off set by the institute. Candidate must be medically fit as per standards set by the institute. I chose the Electronics course because of the college's reputation for providing quality education in engineering. AIT Pune has a strong industry tie-up and collaboration which provides students with ample opportunities for internships, placements and industrial visits. The faculty-student ratio of AIT Pune is approximately 1:20. The faculty members are approachable and supportive. They are available to answer questions and provide guidance to students, both inside and outside the classroom. Term exams are usually held twice a semester. Term exams are typically conducted on time and in accordance with the college's academic calender. While passing exams may require dedication and hard work. It requires consistent effort throughout the academic year. It is not difficult to pass the term exams.

The eligibility of candidate applying for this college should be wards of army personnel who is serving currently or retired. Wards of navy and airforce are also not eligible to apply here. The next eligibility is the JEE-MAINS exam. A minimum cutoff of 85 percentile and above will be shortlisted in the merit list and their names will be published on the official website. There are no reservation benefits based on caste or religion. Merit list rank will get upgraded if the army personnel has any gallantry or honorary awards. The application form will be released on the official website.

The course curriculum is affiliated with Savithri Bhai Phule University. The course gets updated every year. This course provides vast knowledge of mechanical and gives practical knowledge as well. Student-faculty is ratio is very good. Every class is divided into 3 to 4 batches to get a brief knowledge of the course. In this faculty can communicate with students in an effective way. Teachers are more qualified and have a minimum of 8 years of experience in the field of study. Even many teachers have done Phd and published many research papers as well. After every semester feedback will be collected from students regarding the teaching method. there is a total of 8 semesters throughout 4 years of course. In-sem and Endsem will be conducted each semester. In-sem will have 2 units for the exam and the end-sem will have 4 units for the exam. Practical, orals and assignments will be conducted to evaluate the credits of students. The difficulty of passing is medium.

Baap college AIT

I am in mechanical engineering. Application forms and fee details are uploaded on the college website. No reservations are provided in this college only wards of army personnel are provided admission. Nice college no improvement according to my opinion is required.

I took mechanical engineering because I am really interested in machine learning and aiml And placement is really osm and best in the country Faculty teaching are qualified from nit and iits having PhD and masters degree Exams are held semester wise not very difficult if you study.

ALWAYS TRY TO MAKE YOUR BEST VERSION

I have taken admission in the covid period I have sent all the documents that were mentioned on the AIT website to the student section mail id given there. Documents were : 12th mark sheet 10th mark sheet affidavit ( format preset in website ) migration certificate transfer certificate and other undersigned as asked by the college. Now talking about the eligibility of the course then scoring above the 90 percentile and having avg grades in 12th plus you should be an Army brat. Applications are open from the month of September till the last JEE date Only Army children can apply here so no reservation is here. Since the admission process is offline now, I can only see that you have to come to pune once your name comes in the provisional list and submit all the documents offline here only.

I do not select this course it was because of the merit a got this otherwise preference should be computer there are enough teachers if you are really interested in the course Almost all the teachers are PhD and are good at explaining all the topics In a year there are two semesters and each semester has in-sem and end-sem exams 2 months in-sem and after 4 months end-sem. In between, there are some practicals too.

Review of Army Institute of Technology

To take admission to the Army Institute of Technology, you have to fill out its application form which mainly comes out in June - July. Apart from this admission form, you also have to give JEE exams and the admission is based on these two things. You can find its admission form on its website aitpune.com . Only army wards are eligible to take admitted in this college.

I am a student of Computer Engineering course in this college. I choose this as this college is only for the wards of the army personnel. It has a decent faculty: student ratio. The faculty use advanced teaching methodologies to teach students. There is an In-Sem examination and an End-Sem Examination which dates are being fixed by Savitri Bai Phule Pune University.
