What students say about Bharati Vidyapeeth's College of Engineering - [BVCOE]

Likes

  • The course curriculum is very nice as it is structured in a very nice way, according to AICTE guidelines, which also includes practical knowledge.
  • The college provides good internships and also suggests them to the students.
  • Awesome placements! As told by our seniors, placements are awesome and they choose students based on their ability, not on any recommendation. Companies like Amazon, TCS, Intel, HCL, etc., all participate in the placement process.
  • Scholarships are available for students who were good in studies and had an outstanding performance throughout their career or, one could say, throughout their school.
  • Bharti Vidyapeeth College of Engineering has excellent infrastructure and campus. It consists of a cricket ground, a football court, a tennis court, a basketball court, and a 100m swimming pool.
  • I wasnt part of the hostel facility, but based on the experience of my friends, they provide good facilities at affordable rates.
  • The college is not perfect (nothing is perfect), but it is still a very good place to learn, explore, and enjoy your college life.

Dislike

  • The course syllabus is not updated to a great extent but it is still acceptable. You have to make an effort on your own to secure internships since there isnt much support from the college faculty, especially for first-year students.
  • Actually, I dont know whether the college provides internships or not. However, I asked a few of my seniors, but they denied it and mentioned that the college only offers internships to a very limited number of students. Additionally, they also mentioned that there are very few companies available for interning.
  • This year, the placements were pathetic. There was a 50 percent decrease in placements so far, as I was the placement coordinator this time for TCS.
  • Not really, I never thought of it as I havent taken a loan for my studies. But yes, a loan can be easily availed through the bank, and yes, there is a scholarship for poor students whose income is less than the guidelines.
  • The food is pathetic, especially in the girls hostel. The warden and the mess head have a collaboration, which is why the warden doesnt change the mess in the girls hostel

Placement Experience:

the placements are quite good and sufficient enough , there are many company that come to offer like amazon zs electronics etc. the students become eligible for internships from 5 semester onwards and for placement 7th semester onwards. the highest package is around 44 lpa where as the average package stands near 8 lpa . around 70% students get placed . my plan is to do a master's degree .

Remarks:

The admission is held through ggsipu councelling on the basis of your jee mains rank . for admission you should have appeared in jee mains and have got the required cutoff to get a seat . there is 85% reservation for delhi students and 155 reservation for non-delhi students . also there is 15-20% reservation for reserved categories . but the councelling process takes a lot of time

Placement Experience:

Placements of our college is below average. 3rd year students become eligible for internship opportunities and 4th year students for full time opportunities. Companies like Microsoft, Amazon, ZS, and Accenture do come and give good packages to a few students. other students are placed in service-based companies like Infosys, Wipro, hcl ,tcs, etc with the low packages. The highest package is 45lpa(Microsoft) and the average package is 7 LPA only. The percentage of students placed is very low over here ie 65 percent in reality. my plan is to become a blockchain developer.

Remarks:

Eligibility criteria for btech admission, 75 percent in any class 12 recognized board overall in PCME. entrance exam-jee mains or ipucet organized by ipu only. Application form available on the ipu website. the application fee is 1200 and dates are announced before jee mains. reservation benefits are given to sc/st/obc/ews groups as well as to girls. The current admission process has many unrequired formalities which need to be removed.

Placement Experience:

- From the 7th semester, students are eligible for sitting in placements. - Companies like HCL, Amazon, Flipkart, TCS, cognizant, etc have visited the college, and they make an offer for software developers and full-time web developers. - Highest package of the college is 1Cr. and the average package of the college is 6 lakh per annum. -There 70% of the students get placed in the visiting companies. - My plan after getting the degree is to get a job.

Placement Experience:

After the 4th Semester students are given internship opportunities from different companies. The placement of this college is almost 95% with avg package of 8.5 Lakhs. The highest package given in 2022 was rs 40 lakhs per annum to 4 students in Microsoft. Companies like ZCS, TCS, and TCS Ninja also provide campus placements to students. Also, the Nasscom Incubation cell supports various students in their startup journey by providing mentors, space and correct guidance to success.

Remarks:

Admission here is granted on the basis of your JEE (Joint Entrance Exam) score. The avg rank in JEE of a student here in the IT department is 65,000 - 85,000. For the CSE branch, a rank of 50,000-65,000 is enough for admission. This college is affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University and the form filling regarding admission is filled out from the university website: www.ipu.ac.in Around 85 % of seats are reserved for Delhi region students, and the rest are for All India level students. Also, SC/ ST/ OBC category reservations are available here. I personally didn't avail of any reservation benefits. The admission process here was very smooth with all the staff and admin department helping the new students. Although I believe this all information should be included on the website of the university as well.

Placement Experience:

Companies generally hire students when they are in their 6th semester. Our campus has had students who got placed in companies like Microsoft, Amazon ,ZS, Accenture , TCS and many more with a whoping package. Since I am still pursuing my degree, I might not be able to tell the exact numbers when it comes to Highest and average packages. But Yes,packages are definitely worth if companies like Amazon and Microsoft are coming. My plans are to get into a company looking for a Blockchain Developer where i could definitely act as an asset to the company.

Remarks:

You need to give an entrance exam called JEE Mains(Junior Entrance Exam) for which a student should belong to science background havig an aggregate of 75% or above. Application form is to be filled at website of jeemain.nta.nic.in and the fess of one attempt is about Rs 650/- (as of 2021). On the basis of the percentile scored, you get admission on the basis of the college which releases its cutoff list for several rounds. If you have reservations like SC/ST or OBC you get an additional edge in the cutoff list where the required percentile to get admission is dropped. According to me,its the best admission criteria as the knowledge of 10+2 years are beneficial for the degree.
