Likes
- The course structure is perfect to learn about technology and engineering theories. The exam structure tests us based on our theoretical knowledge as well as practical knowledge.
- In our college, there are many companies that come for student placement, such as Tata Consultancy Services and IBM. They select students based on their good personality and sincerity.
- When you go to the 6th semester, you become eligible for campus placement. Mostly, companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Cognizant, Panasonic, etc., visit here. The highest package offered was 12 lakhs, and the average package is around 4-4.5 lakhs. Approximately 60-70 percent of students get placed. My plan after obtaining my degree is to secure the best campus placement.
- The fee structure here is 80,000 per year for all years and for all branches. The hostel is very good with wifi facility. The mess facility is provided with the best food quality.
- The college follows the trends of modern society and IT institutions to give us a better platform to learn in a good way.
- I was not living in a hostel, but the infrastructure was good. The boys hostel was inside the college campus, and the girls campus was around 1 km from the college.
- Here, you can get selected either by clearing the PET exam or through donation seats. I cleared my exam and got admission in the Electrical branch on my first attempt. I was very happy because BIT has the best reputation and fame in our state.
Dislike
- Actually, few students are getting jobs in their respective fields because fewer companies come to BIT Durg.
- Our college provides placements, but only in non-technical companies, and not for engineers. However, the condition for engineers is that they are willing to do any job in any field. As a result, many students end up joining and wasting their lives.
- Sorry, but I dont have any knowledge about any loan/scholarship facility offered by Bhilai Institute of Technology, Durg.
- They are not up to par as the frequent power failures and water problems are very irritating.
- The students and alumni play a crucial role in placement, but it also restricts students freedom, hampering their potentials to some extent.

Course Curriculum Overview:
There are many engineering branches available but I choose, computer science as it is considered the best branch of engineering for the future is very demanding due to the increase in software due to increase in software-driven devices. The faculty are Average they are good in their field I enjoy their classes they teach very well. The student Ratio will 1: 60 if all students attend class. however, the faculty clears every doubt you ask for in class or after the class they help in various programs they. The qualification of each faculty is M.Tech+P.hd and most of them clear Gate and some of them are still doing research Class Tests are conducted each semester Twice and the Semester exam is conducted through a standard university. The exam is not Hard it can be passed if you are an average student.

B.E/ B.Tech admission will be granted on the basis of the CGPET exam or JEE-Main score. The application form is available online for admission to various undergraduate engineering courses offered by the different institutes in the state of Chhattisgarh. It is state level exam it is conducted by the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CEPB). Site: vyapam.cgstate.gov.in. Exam Fees for general -200 INR for OBC - 150 INR for ST/SC/PWD - 100 INR. Students must complete 10+2 in Math, Physics, and Chemistry. 55% marks in each subject in 10+2. Relaxation for SC/ST/PWD is 45% in each subject 10+2. Application date star from April.
Placement Experience:
After 5 Sems you become eligible to sit in campus placement exams. One of our Students has cracked Google the last year only. The average package lies between 6-7 lakhs per annum The highest package was 14 lakhs per annum 75 -80% of students are got placed while the rest students seek further studies Approximately this year 80 companies visited our college Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, IDBI and etc.
Remarks:
Basically, the admission process is done by the performance of two entrance exams i.e CGPET & JEE mains, The cut-off criteria is 75% or above (JEE) & Rank 500 below (CGPET), after the counselling at DTE (Directorate of Technical Education) led by Document Verification is done. Admission is completed after depositing the fees (40-41 K) for First Sem & all the documents mentioned in the application form.
Placement Experience:
Students become eligible for placement after 5 sem Companies like TCS, Infosys, etc and an average salary of 3-4 lakh is offered. The highest salary is 8lakh per annum. 89-90% of students get placement. After getting my degree I want to study further and give GATE exam.

Course Curriculum Overview:
I chose the course because I liked the idea of doing electronics and semiconductor design Faculty to student ratio of our college is quite poor. Qualification of the teacher and staff is good but term exams are not timely taken

Placement Experience:
In our college from 7 sem students are eligible for campus placement. Many companies are visiting this college like TCS. WIPRO, INFOSYS, COGNIZANT, LNT, PANASONIC, TECH MAHINDRA, BYSUS, IDBI, and many companies visit here. This year campus placement is quite good highest package was 10 lacs for 10 students and the average package was 4 lacs and the minimum package was 2.5 lacs. Around 70 percent of students got placed in any company. One student cracks Google off-campus. My plans after BTech go for higher studies.
Remarks:
If you want to take admission to this college there are two-way to process it by giving an exam: CGPET and JEE MAINS. If you talk about the cutoff then for CGPET under 300 to 500 and JEE MAINS more than 80 percentile then you can take admission here. You can find the application form on CGPET official website for the entrance exam. And to take admission to this college you have to enroll in counseling which is available on the cgdet website. I think no changes are required in the admission process because it is a simple process.
Placement Experience:
In our college, There is just an average placement. The average package is around 3 lpa most student often prefers to go off campus or start their own startup. Most of them go for their further studies.
Remarks:
For admission, I have given Pre. MCA Entrance examination which is conducted by Chhattisgarh vyapam, All the exam details are available on its official website. After the results get announced I fill a form from where I got allotted the seat and further admission criteria had been done. Reservation benefits are available.
