What students say about College of Engineering Thalassery

Likes

  • I am so happy to be a BTech student. Talking about the course, its a very good one, but there is a lot to study. We know that technology is developing day by day, and so is the syllabus of the subject. The exam structure is also good.
  • COGNIZANT has offered an internship with a stipend of 10,000 per month. Our final year projects play a vital role in our skill development, thereby enhancing our chances of campus placements.
  • The placement cell in the College of Engineering Thalassery was nice. Thats all, I cant say they are the best because not all the students got jobs or they didnt have placements from good companies.
  • Scholarships are very effective; there are many activities available through which we can easily earn money. The fees for merit are below 50k, so it is affordable.
  • Football tournaments etc will be conducted at the college. The college provides better lab facilities for each branch of students, and the football tournament is one of the best.
  • My college doesnt provide hostel facilities for boys, but it does have a womens hostel. The womens hostel is very feasible and has good infrastructure. It was built around the year 2015.
  • It was a well-known college in our area with all facilities and the best faculties.

Dislike

  • The course syllabus has a lot of topics that are irrelevant to the subjects we are studying. The course curriculum doesnt promote extracurricular activities.
  • The college does not provide any internships; even if they do, there will not be any stipends

Placement Experience:

From the 6th semester itself, we can attend placement drives. Reputed companies such as Infosys, Wipro, and TCS had visited our college and we have a placement record of 203 students in the last year The highest package in the last year was 25 LPA and the average package lies in between 6LPA-10LPA Almost 75% of our students get placed in various countries My plans after getting my degree is to work in a good company and thereby develop skills from there

Remarks:

The eligibility criteria to get admission for the course of BTech in Kerala under APJ ABDUL KALAM UNIVERSITY is to cross the cutoff scores of the entrance examination conducted by the Kerala government that is KEAM. Applications will be invited from the students by the month of DEC-JAN every year. The application form will be available on the official website of KEAM. The FEE structure for girls is 750 and for boys, it is 1500. The reservation is available for minorities based on the total strength of the college
