What students say about Don Bosco Institute of Technology - [DBIT]

Likes

  • The college is best known for its performance outdoors, so I guess it is doing well.
  • Placements were good. Many good companies came to our college, and we were given off-campus opportunities to many good companies. The placement department did a great job.
  • Placements are very good. I would rate the placements at Don Bosco Institute of Technology 10/10.
  • College is very good and it was distributed properly. I have not seen many scholarships, but it was good they were giving the best government scholarships.
  • I could say that college provided all the amenities like WiFi, library, and labs to test in the best manner. Thus, it will depend on these great things to facilitate the growth of the students, ultimately leading to successful careers.
  • I didnt take hostel facilities, but many of my friends took hostel facilities from our college. The hostel facilities are very good in our college because they provide all types of facilities in the rooms for the students, including good food.
  • Still, the management is striving to improve the college and campus in an excellent manner.

Dislike

  • Hardly 50-60% of the students get placed from college, and that too at a lower package.
  • College fees here are a bit expensive compared to other colleges. Overall, the college fees and CET fees are 1 lakh. SSP is the scholarship that we receive in the college, and job opportunities are based on campus selections.
  • Vismay is the annual fest conducted there, which, compared to other colleges, is a bit moderate. Also, the tech fests here are a bit average. You get encouragement for sports activities and extracurricular activities on campus.
  • The hostel facility is not good as per the requirement, and there are a lot of things to be changed in the hostel. There are no wifi facilities in the hostel, the restrooms are very bad, and the cleaning staff is very good.
  • Some professors are quite professional. We are not allowed to play during college hours. The college canteen is very bad, and the food provided is very expensive and unhygienic. Students are not allowed to enter class during exam hours to revise.

Placement Experience:

Students get a good amount of opportunities in this college from the placement department. The students who are in the pre-final year will start getting a notification from the placement department about the list of opportunities and the students can start their preparation. There are 100+ companies visiting the college for recruitment and a large number of offers with different roles are provided for the students. Last year one of the students got a package of 27lpa at Juspay. And most of the students get places in the college and need not worry about off-campus placement opportunities. In the CS field, the opportunities are more.

Remarks:

I got into this college with the help of KCET which is a test conducted after PU. The KCET provides the students with admission order and the college after the option entry and seats are allotted to the students who write KCET. And after we opt for the college, we get an admission order from KCET and we are supposed to take that and visit the college to complete the admission process. The admission process is simple, they ask for general documents like an Aadhar card and previous marks card. And the fee details are provided and payment can be done through UPI or can be paid through challan as well. After completion of the payment, they provide with documents including a calendar of events and dates of commencement of the classes.
