Erode Sengunthar Engineering College B.E./B.Tech Admission 2023
Erode Sengunthar Engineering College offers B.E./B.Tech degree in seven disciplines. Candidates who have passed HSC with 50% marks in PCM subjects are eligible for admission. For admission in B.E./ B.Tech courses, candidates have to pass Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) which is conducted by Anna University.
However, only candidates who have done Class 8th-12th from Tamil Nadu state are eligible to apply. Candidates who have done Class 8th-12th from any other states need to enclose “Nativity Certificate” of TN in order to be considered eligible for admission.
Admission in various engineering colleges will be done through the TNEA Rank List only. The rank list is prepared according marks obtained by the candidates in the HSC.

Key Points for Admission:
- TNEA merit list is prepared on the basis of class XII percentage of candidates.
- For minimum eligibility rounding of marks and normalized marks will not be considered.
- Candidates who are Srilankan Tamil Refugee studied in Tamil Nadu will be considered under open competition.
- 5% relaxation in qualifying exam is given to OBC including Backward Muslim candidates and 10% relaxation is given to SC/ST candidates.

The college provides ME degree course in five disciplines. The institute also provides MBA and MCA courses under PG program.
Candidates who have passed B.E./B.Tech degree examination with 50% marks in concerned subject or equivalent are eligible to apply for M.E. program. For MBA and MCA minimum academic eligibility is graduation with 50% marks.
Admission to PG courses at the Institute is provided on the basis of the performance of the candidates in TANCET entrance examination conducted by Anna University.
For ME course, admission is also provided through GATE. However, GATE qualified candidates are exempted from sitting in TANCET. For ME course counseling is carried out by TANCA. Admission to PG degree courses is carried out through central counseling.

- Application forms for TNEA can be filled through TNEA official website. Application fees to be paid by the candidates:
- Fees for Online Mode: INR 500 (General) and INR 250 (SC/ST/OBCs).
- Fees for Offline Mode: INR 700 (General) and INR 450 (SC/ST/OBCs).
- Photocopies of following documents have to be enclosed along with the application form:
- SSC and HSC Mark Sheet.
- HSC admit card.
- Transfer Certificate from last institute studied.
- Permanent Community Certificate Card for ST, SC, SCA, MBC & DNC, BC and BCM.
- Nativity Certificate. (If applicable).

- After form filling candidates will have to sit for counseling. Online counselling will be conducted on or after June.
- In counselling, candidates will be called in the order of merit. Based on the merit and communal reservation criteria, allotment of the branch/college chosen by the candidate will be done.
- For counselling fees, candidates have to pay an initial deposit of INR 5000 (INR 1000 for SC/SCA/ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu) by Cash or DD and produce all their original certificates during counseling.
Application Process for M.E., MBA, and MCA courses 2021
- Application form for TANCET can be obtained at Anna University website.
- Application fees are to be paid online. Application fees is INR 500 for general category candidates and INR 250 for reserved category candidates.
- After declaration of result of TANCET, candidates have to register again at Anna University website for counseling process.
- Fees for counselling is INR 5300 for general category and INR 1150 for SC/ST. Fee is to be paid through cash or through DD. DD should be in favor of The Secretary, TANCA, Anna University” payable at Chennai.
