Likes
- I am in the CSE branch, and I opted for it because the CSE department is very good and has a good placement ratio.
- The college asks us to find an internship on our own and does not help us in any way regarding it.
- I can say that I am in the best state of grabbing opportunities, but the place is the best that I could ever have.
- I got an excellent scholarship which helps me a lot. The scholarship is about discounting 1 lac rupees, which is a very good opportunity.
- Well, it is not that great, but the college manages to get the best out of what weve got.
- The mechanical lab should have more facilities, but apart from that, every infrastructure was good.
- The college management and facilities are superb, as they always provide you with the correct information.
Dislike
- Dont you know about the life of engineering students now? How the hell do I know these things as Im studying in my third year, just for 50 rupees? Im wasting my time. Im poor, thats why Im doing this kind of stuff.
- WBUT has a scheme called tuition waiver where poor students can join colleges without any fees.
- There is no shortage of fests; every month, we can witness one or two fests organized by different clubs of FIEM.
- In our college, we have no hostel facilities. All the hostels and paying guests are formed in the local area. The college does not take any responsibility for paying guests and all

Placement Experience:
After 5th semester the students get campus placement and are eligible for placement. There are a lot of many companies that arrived like cognizant, infotech, etc. The highest package is 10 lacs above and the lower package is 4lacs.

Course Curriculum Overview:
there are about 20 to 25 professors in every department. most of them are highly educated and Ph.D. holders. they are friendly and down-to-earth people. their way of interaction is great. exam levels at jadavpur university are easy to moderate.
Remarks:
for admission to jadavpur university students must qualify west bengal joint entrance exam. for computer science, the engineering cutoff is nearly 100-150. if someone's rank is within 5000 he/ she can get into this institute. students get admission through wbjee counseling.
Placement Experience:
From 6th sem students become eligible for campus placement Companies like CTS, LTIMindtree, Wipro, Accenture, Vodafone, NRI fintech, and Ola, give the opportunity to us, avg. package 3.36 lpa and highest up to 30lpa. My plan is to join a start-up and end with a build a startup;=)
Remarks:
Eligibility - 10+2 and WBJEE or 10+Diploma(Lateral) after getting selected for WBJEE there was counseling normally this college close at rank 20000 for CSE and otger 25k to 30k, after counseling you can choose FIEM for your priority listing also after getting this college into your rank You have to pay fees for counseling and for college you have to pay Admission fees + Security money(refundable) with first sem fees in my case 75k, College admission cell is very supportive you can find them very useful dusting the process
Placement Experience:
Students studying in the 6th sem are eligible for sitting in the placements. Companies like TCS, Wipro. Infosys visit the campus. The highest package offered is 12 lakh and the average is 3.5 lakh. Approx 80 to 90 Percent of students get placed and some opted for higher studies.
Remarks:
The admission process was very easy. First, you have to fill out the wbjee entrance exam form. Then according to your rank, you have to apply in the counseling process. There are 2 rounds of counseling. There are no reservations for students outside west Bengal.

After the 6th-semester students are eligible for campus placement. Popular companies are visiting for campus drives in our colly like TCS, REDHat, Wipro, Cognizant, etc. Students need at least 70+ percentage to apply for an interview.
Remarks:
If you give the entrance exam and If your seat is allotted in the college you are good to go. And also direct admission process is also easy. And reservation benefits are provided. And lateral admission is also done.
