Candidates planning a career in engineering field can opt for degree program of B.Tech offered by GITAS in five specializations. Applicants need 45% marks in 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry as main subjects. Eligible candidates can also apply for lateral entry admissions in second year of course.
Admissions to B.Tech course are based on candidate’s scores in EAMCET while lateral entry needs ECET scores. Management quota candidates of B.Tech don’t have to appear in any entrance test and need minimum 50% in PCM in class 12. JNTU, Anantapur is the conducting body of both the entrance examinations.

The institute also offers degree course of M.Tech in ten specializations with an intake of 252 students. Those candidates who wish to pursue the course must have appeared in GATE or PGECET. Counselling of eligible candidates is strictly based on valid entrance test scores.
A candidate is required to fulfill the eligibility of having a B.E./B.Tech degree in relevant field with 50% aggregate to apply. SC/ST candidates are given a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks of qualifying exam.
