Government College of Engineering, Salem was established in the year 1966 with the aim of imparting technical education among students. The college is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The college offers Engineering programmes at Bachelor, Masters and Research

  • In1966-1967, the college started courses in Civil, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering courses as its first batch in the institution

  •  Govt. of India Post Matric  Scholarship- Rs. 8750/- per year for day scholars whose parents income does not exceed 2 lakh per annum
