The total capacity of the hostels is 1500 undergraduate and postgraduate students. The elected student representatives in the committee manage the hostels. It has a mess, and the food is hygienic. Other things include indoor and outdoor sports areas, water purifiers, TV, telephone, water cooler, and more. There is no specific list of things required in the IET Lucknow hostel. The hostel on the campus consists of a bed, tube light, table, and a fan. Rest of the things you will have to purchase by yourself. Like the bedding materials, pillow, mattress, bed table, almirahs and many more. There is one online portal named Rent le where you will find all these materials and furniture. They will deliver at your doorstep and your tedious task of purchasing from the market and bringing it to the hostel room will get reduced. Also, the prices of all the products in the portal are quite reasonable. All you need to log in to the page and customize your offerings, they will deliver it to the hostel gate. Although the first-year rooms are very good, you just need to make little adjustments for this. Apart from the basic necessities, the hostels have a good electrical supply, the washrooms are clean, the college Wi-Fi also provides good speed as well. One of my friends studied at IET Lucknow and availed hostel facilities. Let me share the information I gathered from him, which might help you make your choice. Here are some of these factors you might want to consider: The electric supply is mainly synchronized with Jankipuram, the specific area where the institute is fundamentally located. The supply can range to almost 23 to 24 hours in winter, and 22 hours in the summertime. Apart from that, water is supplied to the hostels through a tube bell which is essentially only slotted for IET Lucknow. For winters, there is a provision of Geyser facilities. The provision of western bathrooms is conditioned only during the first year, following which students have to again use the old system attached to their rooms. The wifi usually is provided via personal network systems for the new hostel for the first-year students. The major upside is that the LAN facility is extremely advantageous. You can experience high-speed internet nonetheless. The messes, at least most of them, are typically air-conditioned. You have the liberty to choose the delicacies that you prefer via the mess representative. The food facilities that can be availed in the c-block (mess) are overwhelming. However, if you are not comfortable you can seek a PG to stay in. From the third year, you will have two people in one room. It is a 4-floor structure with the ground, 1st and 2nd floor accommodating 4 students each in one room while the topmost floor accommodates 3 students. In rare circumstances, if your luck favors and any allotment remains vacant you may get a triple sharing room.
