What students say about Goa College of Engineering - [GEC]

Likes

  • In our college, we have a B.Tech course and it is autonomous, so it follows its own rules and regulations. In our college, 60% of the work is focused on practical learning.
  • Talking about placements, almost all of my batch mates have been placed in good companies with a good salary package.
  • The interest education loan scheme was provided by the Goa government during our time, and many students took advantage of it.
  • We have our own playground, stage, and auditorium to perform those activities with full support from our faculty and college.
  • The food is not up to par, but there are nearby hotels where you can have good meals.
  • Students who put in the work are successful now, while students who didnt are still completing their degree.

Dislike

  • It does not specifically provide internships, but one internship is compulsory for all students.
  • Students below a pre-defined poverty line can apply for a scholarship. If approved, they are only required to pay 50% of their fees. Additionally, there are tuition fee waiver schemes available for the very poor students
