What students say about Kanpur Institute of Technology - [KIT]

Likes

  • The course curriculum of UPSEE is bullshit. They just keep you reading what you dont want to read, like all computer stuff. They put some nonsense subjects and expect you to read and score in them. The faculty is good and educated, except for some of the crappers.
  • My internship at Essar Steel Plant in Hazira, Gujarat was awesome, and I learned a lot there.
  • The college does its best to provide maximum opportunities to the students so that they can lead themselves into the job market.
  • For the diploma in electrical engineering, the fees range from 45000 to 50000 in the best colleges.
  • My campus is beautiful and suitable for sports; it has good sports teams and various clubs, including dance, singing, drama, football, cricket, and volleyball, among others.
  • The hostel is very good for security, cleanliness, and most probably the environment is great.
  • I found that KIT has the best value for money, with better fees and facilities compared to others.

Dislike

  • There is no scope for practical learning in that college. Hardly any learning can sustain in that filthy environment.
  • There are no placements for BA, but only for BCOM. However, there are only a few companies that visit our college, and they also offer below-average packages, which is a 3 lakh per annum salary. Additionally, our placement cell is not active.
  • There was no such scholarship provided by the college. The government gives scholarships to students whose parents income is less than 250,000, and the government pays approximately 80% of the fees.
  • It means that for any small or big mistake, you will be fined at least four digits.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Because I am very strong in mechanics so I am chosen for the course my class strength is 75 and all faculty members are MTech and technology Mechanical engineering to manufacture are all teachers to knowledge at an MTech to the subject.

Remarks:

Most of the Universities conduct their own Entrance exams for getting admission there, for instance, I P University, Abdul Kalam Technical University, Jamia Millia Islamia, Punjab University, Birla Institute of Technology, etc. Few Institution Takes Merit Based Examination Like Jamia Hamdard, Delhi University, and Delhi Institute of Pharmaceutical Science and Research. The Reservation benefits are available.

Placement Experience:

From 6th semester students are eligible for campus placement. TCS, INFOSYS, TECH MAHINDRA, and many more big companies visited the campus for placement. Approximately 85% of students get placed in on-campus placement. The highest package is 25 LPA and the lowest package is 1.5 LPA. The average package is 3.5 LPA. In terms of placement college comes under Average. Placement depends on your skills and knowledge.

Remarks:

You will get direct admission to college. You have to pass class 10th with 65% for general and for obc, sc, St is 60%. If you give jee and clear the cutoff you will get some discount on fees. If you pass class 12th with PCM stream you will get LATERAL entry means direct second year.

Placement Experience:

The placement was good before but this time is not good because of many reasons and one of the recession. from 7th sem students can apply for drives, there are 40 to 50 companies that visited and the package is 4-5lpa. highest package is 12lpa and avg is 3lpa. 60% of students' chances to get placements. my plan after getting a degree is to work as a software engineer.

Remarks:

Eligibility criteria are straightforward, there are two ways to select, Through Any exam, for example, UPSEE if you have a good rank below 1000 you can study almost free, it will be a fee waiver. Direct admission, in this the fees are variable but for now 2022-23, 1Lac.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I want govt jobs like PWD, JAL NIGAM, and Railway jee they only demand Polytechnic students. Kit has the best faculty teacher as compared to another private colleges. Many teachers are Ph.D. holders and many are pass-out students they are toppers in a particular subject so they start teaching in the college. College conduct many tests like SESSIONAL, PUT, and CT. If you give all tests and score good marks in that you get a good percentage on the board exam. University exam was conducted within 4 to 5 months.

Remarks:

You get direct admission to college as well as by entrance exam. In class 10th or 12th minimum percentage is 70% for direct admission. If you give JEE cup exam and clear the cutoff you will get a discount on fees.

Placement Experience:

Placement in college are about 75% in last year. From the 7th semester, the students are getting placed on or off campus. Companies such as Nucleus Software, Trinity, Team Computer etc are visited in last year. Highest package was give by Tiaa of 9Lpa and average package was 4-5 LPA. I placed in Tech Mahindra by off campus because they have certain restrictions in on campus placement likr attendance, marks etc. I am not interested in higher education as for now my completely focus on Corporate job.

Remarks:

The admission process is very simple, you can take direct admission or you can write an exam which will conduct by AKTU every year. You can find the admission form from the college there are no application fees for the form and admission always start in the month of June and July. There is no improvement needed in the admission process, it is simple and reliable for everyone.

Placement Experience:

B.Tech students, they are eligible from the 7th sem for campus placement. In my time only 2-3 companies have visited and taken around 70-80 students. I got placed in Nucleus Software with a package of 4.25LPA and you have to sharpen your skills then only you can pass the exam in off-campus mode. The highest package was 9LPA by company TIAA and the average package was 4.5LPA. 75% of students got placed in respective companies from all courses. My plans are so simple, I have no time for higher students and currently, I am working in MNC at a good package.

Remarks:

You must have passed 12th with more than 60% in science, maths, and computer subjects. You can get admission directly from the college or you can write an actual exam yearly and opt for this college on a rank basis. The admission process is too smooth here, you just have to pay fees and they will instantly give you a printout of your details and write your name in their list.
