Konkan Gyanpeeth College of Engineering was established in 1994. Konkan Gyanpeeth is a Public Charitable Trust. The College was initially started with Computer Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering and Instrumentation Engineering.

Mission of the college is” To impart the total quality education at undergraduate level by striving for economic well being of local community and the region”
The college is completely self financed and one of the leading institutes among all the engineering colleges
There are trains for Karjat from Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) every half-an-hour. Which takes 11 hours and there are trains from Pune station, which takes 2 hours to reach Karjat.
College is approved by AICTE and affiliated to University of Mumbai

Candidate should have passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology Biology or Technical Vocational subjects and obtained at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks, in case of Reserved class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only). Passed B.Sc. Degree from a Recognised University as defined by UGC and obtained at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only).

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose to pursue a career in IT because I have always been fascinated by technology and how it can be used to solve complex problems. I was drawn to the IT field because it offers a variety of career paths and opportunities for innovation. A brief about faculty: Student ratio: The faculty-to-student ratio at KGCE College is not so good. There were a sufficient number of qualified faculty members to provide personalized attention to students. The small class sizes also allowed for more interaction between students and faculty. Qualification of faculty and teaching method: The faculty at KGCE College was highly qualified and knowledgeable in their respective fields. They were always available to help students with coursework and were approachable outside of class as well. The term exams at XYZ College were always administered on time and were a fair representation of the material covered in class. Good college

Eligibility for the course is you need 12th or diploma in computer/ IT field. The admission process is through the online portal on mahadbt website. Application fees are around 600-800. I availed of an Open-EWS reservation and my fees are 53000 per year.

I choose this course because the IT sector is growing vastly nowadays and the packages you get are good. The faculty is good they help you with everything. They teach us to complete the syllabus. There are three exams in one sem 1st unit test the 2nd unit test which is on the college level and the last final semester exam is university board level.
