Konkan Gyanpeeth College of Engineering (KGCE), Karjat is a private engineering college affiliated to Mumbai University. It was established in 1994 and is approved by AICTE New Delhi and DTE Mumbai.

KGCE Karjat offers undergraduate engineering courses in different streams.

  • The eligibility for admission in B. E first year is 10+2 with minimum 50% marks and Physics and Mathematics as mandatory subjects and any one subject from Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology.
  • For B. E Lateral Entry, the candidates must have passed a Diploma course in Engineering and Technology with at least 45% marks.

KGCE B. E Admission 2023

KGCE offers B. E in 5 different streams for which admission is done on the basis of entrance tests. Candidate must have passed 10+2 with minimum 50% of marks and Physics, Maths as mandatory subjects and any one subject from Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology.

Admission is done on the basis of JEE Main or MHT CET score.

KGCE Application Process 2023

For JEE Main, candidates have to apply by visiting on their official web page. For direct admission into college by MH CET, they need to follow these steps:

  • Go to the official website of the DTE Maharashtra
  • Verify the documents and confirm Online Application Form at the nearest DTE Facilitation Centre (FC) and get the receipt cum acknowledgment slip.
  • Visit the college and enroll them into the course.
  • Candidates should submit the following original documents along with two sets of attested photocopies and four photographs at the time of admission to the college:
    • MH CET Mark sheet or JEE Main scorecard
    • S.S.C. Mark sheet
    • H.S.S.C. Mark sheet
    • Leaving/Transfer Certificate
    • Indian Nationality Certificate
    • Domicile Certificate
    • Migration Certificate (for OMS and CBSE candidates)
    • Acknowledgment of Application Form Confirmed by Facilitation Centre.

Admission:

Candidate should have passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology Biology or Technical Vocational subjects and obtained at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks, in case of Reserved class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together. OR Passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only). Passed B.Sc. Admission:

Eligibility for the course is you need 12th or diploma in computer/ IT field. The admission process is through the online portal on mahadbt website. Application fees are around 600-800. I availed of an Open-EWS reservation and my fees are 53000 per year.
