What students say about MVJ College of Engineering - [MVJCE]

Likes

  • My course is very good. It is well disciplined with lots of technologies and an upgraded system in the course. Seventy-five percent of the course is based on practical and lab research.
  • There are some good internship opportunities in IT, as well as in some government organizations that offer them.
  • The placement cell in the college is very effective and efficient in grooming the students to appear for interviews. Additionally, the placement drive was quite impressive this year, with most of the students being placed in good companies.
  • One of the excellent students was given to the topper of the class each year, and the university also offered many scholarships.
  • The campus life was good, and extracurricular activities like sports competitions were excellent. Prize money will be given to the winners.
  • If you opt for the hostel, you have to pay 90,000 per year. The information structure of the hostel is very good.
  • Placements shall be provided, although the students have to put in their efforts to get the best out of it.

Dislike

  • We were not offered any internship program in any organization, nor did any company visit our college in this regard.
  • If the student has individual skills in the campus drive, they got placed. However, the other poor students didnt even get a chance of placement from the college, and we didnt get any opportunity.
  • No, I did not take any scholarships from college because it is only for CET people or people who belong to Karnataka.
  • I had taken a 2 BHK and shared it with one more girl, but the hostel facility is not good and the food is pathetic.
  • I dont have any issue with the college, but the college timing is a bit uncomfortable.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was always interested in ECE and when it comes to the faculty-student ratio I wouldn't say 5:10. There are three internals conducted one each every month. It's easier to pass nothing to worry about.

Remarks:

I have written Kcet exam to join the college and the cut-off was around 35k for general for ECE. And if any reservations are present one can easily get a seat here at MVJ. The admission process is easy.

Placement Experience:

The college provides placement opportunities. In the final year, students are eligible for placements. A great number of students get placed mainly in IT Sector with an average package of 4 lakhs per annum.

Remarks:

The admission was through the state exam CET and the college is allotted depending on your rankings. For Electrical & Electronics, the college had a cutoff of 44000 in 2017. The application process for Karnataka CET was simple process and can be applied online easily.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The college faculties are very friendly and very interactive towards students. The management is very strict but for learners, it is the best place to study. The environment is very clean and the nearby surroundings are calm.

Remarks:

The admission went smoothly throughout the entire process. As I am from KCET I got a reservation and government fees. I took many entrance exams like JEE, KCet, Comedk. I got a 31k rank in Kcet and got through merit quota OBC.
