Manipur Institute of Technology formerly known as Government College of Technology, Imphal is a constituent college affiliated to Manipur University. It was established in 1998 with three engineering disciplines, namely: Civil Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering. Every year the institute admits 115 students under its UG through marks scored in JEE Main. The students can download the application form from the university website.

Manipur Institute of Technology (MIT) Imphal offers 4-year B.E courses under three disciplines. The number of seats varies for each course. The admission details for these courses is given below.

Selection Procedure:

The seats will be filled through All India marks of the candidate in JEE (Mains).
The cut off will be decided by the institute for admissions.
Annual intake is 115 for all the courses, 10% extra seats for lateral entry.
The candidates will be called for the counseling strictly on the merit basis in JEE (Mains).

Note: Relaxation of 5% will be given to the SC/ ST candidates in the above-mentioned qualifying examination.

Reservations

One seat in each course is reserved for the candidates who have represented the state at the national/ international competition of sports or other curricular activities.
3% seats in each course are reserved for PWD candidates.
One supernumerary seat will be given in every discipline each for the wards of Defense Personnel and Kashmiri migrants.

The candidates can apply through the application forms along with the prospectus.
The list of enclosures with the application form is given below:
- Two recent passport size photographs.
- Self-attested copy of HSLC certificate.
- Self-attested copies of mark sheet and certificates of the qualifying exam.
- Self-attested copies of the documents supporting reservations.
- JEE Mains score card.
The application fee of Rs. 500 for unreserved category candidates and Rs. 300 for reserved category students has to be paid in form of cash or Demand Draft.
The DD has to be issued in favor of Principal, Manipal Institute of Technology, Takyeipat, payable at Imphal.
