What students say about Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology - [NMIT]

Likes

  • The courses, such as mechanical engineering and electrical and electronics engineering, have the most well-qualified faculties available.
  • Internship opportunities are provided from the 5th semester when I was in college, but now it starts from the 1st semester itself, which is so good to hear.
  • In the third year, around 70.71 percent of students get placed, either through mass recruitment or by receiving a good package.
  • Bank loans and ePasskar are good scholarships that every student can receive around 30000 if they apply for the ePasskar scholarship. Bank loans are accepted by colleges that provide support and assistance.
  • In college, there were fests and the college will do the program excellently. In our college, the Anadyanta fest will be for 3 days and is held for college management. The college will encourage sports.
  • The hostel facility is amazing; you will never feel like you are away from home. You always feel like you are at home.
  • Our college is good, and I am satisfied with it. I got a very good college that has helped me a lot.

Dislike

  • College does not provide internships, but it invites a few companies to the campus that offer internship programs.
  • Placements in my college are average. There are some students who got a job of 20L, and there are a few who didnt get placed as well.
  • The college fee for COMEDK students is around ?2.6 lakh for college and ?1.15 lakh for hostel and mess.
  • The hostel WiFi is terrible, and the only positive aspect is cleanliness. The floors, rooms, and toilets are cleaned every day, except on Sundays. The mess food is the worst, and they use leftover food from previous meals.
  • There is no such bad highlight of our college; the only thing I did not like is the mess food.

Placement Experience:

From the 6th semester, I was eligible and started preparation for campus placements. Literally, the campus placements are good I have placed with a good package. I hope the placement percentage might be like 90-95%

Remarks:

The process of admission is via KCET, lateral entry, Management, and COMEDK. Students from other than Karnataka can apply to this college by COMEDK. If you are from Karnataka it's easy and with less fee to study in this college.

Placement Experience:

6th sem onwards they are eligible, Around 150 companies come for campus placements. The highest package is 50L, Average being 4L, The percentage is around 60%, My plan after my degree is to master and abroad studies or get job experience for a year.

Remarks:

The eligibility was through comedk and the cut-off was around 14000-15000. The course I chose is electronics and communication engineering. You can find the direct college application through the college website. The admission was smooth.

Placement Experience:

The placements are good in our college. We are eligible for placements from the 7th sem. Top companies like Google and Amazon have visited our college. The highest salary package I've heard is 35lpa. 90% of the students get placed every year.

Remarks:

I applied for management and got a seat in electronics and communication. U can contact the college through their website nmit.ac.in If they had given a discount on fees it would be better. I am not aware of the reservation benefits.

Placement Experience:

You become eligible for campus placements from the 8th sem. I do not know about any company that has visited and not offered a job. The highest offer gotten by a student at nmit was 20 LPA. And about 80 percent of students get placed.

Remarks:

No major improvement is needed but the seat registration fee can be reduced. The process can be a little easier and more organized and more smooth. Other than that no other changes are necessary. Renovation benefits are there for a certain amount of people.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course cause I'm really interested in it and hope to see a bright future in aviation and design, there are good enough faculties and many faculties in fact who'll be ready to help yall out anytime and very understanding. Most of the facilities will be at least holding a PhD or master in it, exams are well planned and passing is a bit hard

Remarks:

Need to get a cut-off rank under the criteria based on your Rank and certain examination, you can find the form on the official website and as soon as you enter the website there'll be an automated counsellor option where they'll help people out with ease. Pretty good admission process I can say

Placement Experience:

From 3rd year that means 5th-semester students can be eligible to get placements in the college. IBM, TCS, AMAZON, etc. big companies visited our college for placements. The highest package offered here is 30 LPA and the least will be on average around 500000 to 600000. I am going to the US for further studies after Engineering

Remarks:

We have to get good marks in intermediate and I wrote an exam called COMEDK which is a Karnataka state entrance exam and it's ok to pass. We can find the application form on Google and it's around 1000, mostly in July and August applications will open. I don't have any reservations. The only improvement I seek in the admission process is they should improve the counseling process.
