What students say about Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology - [RGIT]

Likes

  • I wanted to pursue Mechanical Engineering, which is the best program offered by this college, as it also offers Masters and PhD programs in the same field.
  • The internship was a good experience and the average stipend was quite good, 20000.
  • The placement and job opportunities in the college are very good. Many companies come to the college, and the placement percentage is also very high.
  • There are lots of scholarships in our college for both minority and majority castes. Students receive 17000 per year as money or fee reduction, and they sometimes receive great privileges from the government as well, such as laptops and smartphones for some students.
  • The campus life of RGIT is superb, and the infrastructure is awesome. If you are a student for whom lectures and placements do not matter, then this is the best college for you.
  • The food is good, and the rooms are also comfortable. Dont stay in the hostel.
  • I can say our college is too good when compared to other colleges. This college gives you an excellent environment.

Dislike

  • No, the college does not officially provide internships, but the faculty personally provide internship references to genuine students.
  • The placements were very poor, and there were no placement opportunities for the students. The colleges initiative to bring companies was very poor and pathetic.
  • As a mechanical engineer, I am quite disappointed with the campus placement process as there have hardly been any companies in our college campus related to our field

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course I choose is high in demand and its need is going to increase day by day the faculty is really good and connect and interacting with the students and the faculty pushed students to enhance their hobbies All the faculty have done master's in their respective subject with management term exams are held as per university guidelines mostly in 1month and next in another 1.5 months the exam prepares us well for the university paper

Remarks:

Yes admission can be made more online and less offline and also a latest picture of the campus and also online verified documents to be the better verified Well-defined lists of courses and also previous cut off and information about the average packages

Placement Experience:

You can see on the college website itself that it offers campus placements. And stand packages let you earn around 30K/month. Final year, make sure you have good grades or a plan for further education. I don't have the exact number but I feel half of my batch mates would go for off-campus placements, higher education, or remain jobless with this level of confusion in SY. I would prefer working with the best irrespective of the salary. Just want to gain good experience. Then I'd decide to either continue to earn or opt for higher education.

Remarks:

I had an attempt for JEE and MH-CET as well. I expected to get admission on basis of my CET score. But surprisingly, it was my JEE score (65%ile) that got me in. If you belong to a reserved category. You may have to submit additional documents like income proof, caste certificate, and caste validity and they may ask you to log in to the MahaDBT website. If you fail to complete the procedure within the given time, they warn you may have to pay the full course fees. But trust me, they provide enough time for you to issue a new caste certificate/caste validity. So anyways while standing in line for admissions, students are stressed. So just make a note of every document they ask for. Also, carry with along you every document you have (on the day of admission). In case you don't have a few documents issued, the faculty will fully cooperate with you. Just make sure you carry a copy of your admission confirmation(the one which is produced after the admission rounds).
