There was a good focus on practical learning since most of the practicals were computer-based.
Hexaware, XL Dynamics, and many more companies came. The general stipend was almost 2.5 Lakhs. The placement was not that great but can be improved. The teaching by faculty is also good.
The placement opportunities are good and well. All the students enroll themselves, and their aptitude tests are taken. Companies like TCS, Amazon, Wipro, Torrent Power, etc., have come.
Also, if you belong to certain categories like OBC/SC/ST/EBC/EWS, etc., scholarships are available for them.
The annual fest is the IGNITE EVENT and is generally conducted at the end of February or the beginning of March.
Actually, our college does not provide any hostel facilities. However, you can live in nearby rented accommodations close to our college. Additionally, you can share rooms with others to reduce your rental fees.
Our college has one of the best management teams, and the staff helps a lot with every aspect of our educational needs.

Dislike

The course was revised by Mumbai University in 2003, but the college infrastructure was too poor to implement it.
Indira Gandhi CoE does not provide internships and hardly any companies visit for campus interviews.
You have to have some reference for getting any job; otherwise, with the name of such a college on your resume, the job is a little bit difficult.
The campus is the worst. The painting is only done on the external side. No renovation has been done. There are cracks on the walls. The infrastructure is the worst, compared to old BMC buildings.
Only a few fans in the canteen work, and the roof leaks water during the rainy season.
The management doesnt pay the facultys salary on time. In that case, they work hard for the students but dont give them their wages on time, which is the only sad part.

Placement Experience:

I guess from semester 6 students are eligible for campus placements. Vipro, TCS, Capgemini, IBM, Voltas, Syntel, eTouch, Sanket solutions, etc. The percentage of the students in placement doesn't required, the only thing required is your skills regarding a particular job. I

Remarks:

I took admission to Smt. Indira Gandhi college of engineering through CET marks i.e an entrance exam. My score on Common Entrance Test (CET) was 58.26 percentile. Though it was less I got my name on the last list and in fact, my name was last in the list. So the cutoff of 2021 is 58.26 for boys in the open category in CSE(IOT AND CYBERSECURITY INCLUDING BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGY)

Placement Experience:

The placements are good enough. From the 5th or 6th semester, I guess one is eligible for campus placement. Companies like Wipro, Capgemini, etc. visited this college. Approx more than 50% of students get the opportunity of getting placed from the campus itself.

Remarks:

The entire admission process was online. You must qualify CET or JEE entrance exam to apply for admission to this college. Each branch has a different cut-off. The maximum cut-off is for Computer Engineering Branch. The complete admission process is online and one can easily take admission to this college.
