What students say about Sri Sairam Institute of Technology - [SSIT]

Likes

  • I wanted to pursue CSE, but I was late for admission. I got BTech in IT, which is also a very good course. Both have the same syllabus.
  • Some companies, like Mr. Cooper, are offering good roles and are providing stipends to college students. The students must participate in projects and coding technical programs for their interviews and placements.
  • Companies such as Amazon, Mr. Cooper, Pega, and Zoho are visited, and there are good placements.
  • All government scholarships are provided in our college without any delay, and our college also provides its own scholarship for students who have achieved high scores in university exams.
  • Students have given themselves to sports. Our ground is the best. Every year, Anna University conducts one sports event in our college at the zonal level. Our lab facilities are equipped with the best equipment and teachers.
  • The hostel facilities are best for every student in the hostel. Good infrastructure ensures good safety for students.
  • Skill development programs such as training sessions and TEDx events are regularly conducted to ensure that students receive ample exposure.

Dislike

  • Mechanical engineering is the best course compared to others, but the exam structure in my college is very poor. The exams are conducted for unnecessary reasons, resulting in a complete waste of time for students.
  • I suppose this question is irrelevant because my college does not offer any such internship at all.
  • In my college, mostly IT companies come for placements for mechanical engineering. There are only 2 or 3 companies that come, and these 2 or 3 companies only receive 3 or 4 members. In my college, placements are very poor.
  • It was not that big in size. It only has one building. I joined this college expecting more infrastructure, but I was disappointed when I saw this. However, they have all the facilities in the college, so this is enough.
  • The hostel is not good; the faculty always irritate us, and the bathrooms are not suitable for the students. The maintenance is bad. They always punish us without any proper reason. We cant call home as we need to, and we cant go out as we want to

Placement Experience:

Everyone in the college gets placed but based on your skills the package differs and the placement starts from the 6th sem which is in your third year, many companies are visiting our college around 100 plus companies are coming about 95 to 100% of them get placed in a year and my plan after getting out of the college is to get a job and settle in my life.

Remarks:

You should have the required cut-off marks for the college you can visit the website for getting more details on the cutoff because it changes year by year. The application form will be available on the college website and you can go and register that. A faculty will call you and you can attend the call and then you can proceed to the admission process.

Placement Experience:

Placements are seriously awesome in this college. Like nearly 1100 offers are achieved by placement by students. And in last academic year ECE department achieved 100% placement. Students will be allowed for placements from 3rd year. Highest package is 18 LPA.

Remarks:

I didn't apply for Anna University counseling as I decided on engineering as the last option so I visited the college campus for consortium-based admission they will ask for some capitation fees for available seats and we should book our wanted seats. Later they will let us know about the admissions process and they will guide us through the registration process and fee payment.
