What students say about Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering - [SVCE]

Likes

  • I have good knowledge in production technology and services for managing the property of machine operations, such as milling, blending, and compression machines like Krosch.
  • We had a great experience with them. They had our contact number and we were offered a course by them.
  • The salary packages offered vary from 3 LPA to 15 LPA, and it is a very good salary package for freshers.
  • The government is giving 35,000 to 40,000 scholarships. The fees that should be paid range from 15,000 to 30,000. These scholarships include any merit-based scholarships given by the college to students. It is a very nice college.
  • The lab facilities were good; there were all instruments, but there was no one to give us practical knowledge about the instruments.
  • In our college, we have hostel facilities. They charge around 70000 per year, which is an affordable price. The hostel food is very good, and we also have continental food available. The rooms are well-maintained, providing you with a good living experience.
  • Excellent infrastructure for studying; every institution will have its pros and cons. However, the fee structure of this college is the biggest con for me.

Dislike

  • While there is not much focus on research, the faculty is always open to new research ideas when students approach them.
  • The placements are not as good as they were told beforehand, especially for mechanical and civil branches. Not even one core company came for placement, which is very disappointing.
  • Fee waivers are available for students whose parents annual income is less than 1,20,000. Additionally, special scholarships are provided for SC/ST students who demonstrate good academic performance.
  • Food is the only thing they have to change, which tastes bad, and there is no non-veg food at all.
  • In our college, the hostel facilities are the worst, and the food provided for hostellers is very bad.

Placement Experience:

Campus placements training is offered from the second year itself and we can opt for placement or high studies. Avg package ranges from 4 to 6L LPA and more than 100 companies come for placement. Almost all get placed.

Remarks:

Admission was on a merit basis on the Anna University portal. The application will be available in the college where we need to fill and submit and based on our marks we were admitted for counselling. Admission through management criteria can do through websites.
