What students say about Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering - [SVCE]

Likes

  • Students need for learning; everything is provided there with the best support from the faculty.
  • Good internships are provided at this college for every student, and very good practical internships are also available.
  • It has state-of-the-art infrastructure, a humongous library, well-connected bus networks, and mind you, one of the best placement opportunities in South India.
  • Very nice, 52800 is good for studying B.Tech in a good college like that. The environment is very good with quality furniture, making it suitable for the fees.
  • The college has an excess of libraries. Everyone has access to 3 libraries, which are very good. Sports activities are conducted twice a week.
  • My friends are there at the hostel; they can give a nice feedback about the hostel. The food and accommodation are very nice, and the hostel buildings are good to see.
  • In my view, based on all criteria, it is the best college in my city.

Dislike

  • There were not many companies, but not many students can get placements. Some students will get placements, but they wont receive the salary they expect. The placement that a student gets will not satisfy them.
  • The fees are based on selecting courses. The cost ranges from a maximum of 200000 to a minimum of 70000. There are no scholarships, stipends, or financial assistance available. Additionally, there are no relevant on-campus job opportunities and poor placements.
  • Coming to the extracurricular activities, the ground is too small; its not sufficient for the campus strength. However, students play different sports there

Placement Experience:

My college has good placement. But has to learn outside courses for better placement. Many companies like TCS, Zoho, and Indian cement, Kotak bank, ICICI Bank visit our campus. Need to improve communication skills for placements. Min placement is 3 -4 lakhs.

Remarks:

I have gone through AP EMCET it's quite an easy process . first I wrote an exam got a 17k rank and got free admission on 1st attempt. I have to pay 50k per year. I have JVD. so I don't have to pay the whole fee. Now I Have an apt for the outside PG because the inside boys' hostel is very dirty and messy. Nearby college hostels too are very dirty so I have joined PG in Mangalam which is 3km far from college. My branch cut-off in my caste is 30k maybe the last time. for SC and ST castes it's gone nearly 1 lakh. I chose CSE (cybersecurity). Govt needs to process the 3 attempts as soon as possible for the admission process which helps students to get into college fast.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements in 3-2 or 4-1 semesters. Last year itself we had 2100+ placements from different companies. Wipro hired 508 students with a package of 3.5 LPA, 350 students were hired by cognizant with a package ranging from 4 to 6.7 LPA, Capgemini hired 263 students with 4-7.5 LPA package,180 students were hired by TCS with a package of 3.3-7.6 LPA, Accenture hired 116 students with a package of 4.5-6.7 LPA, IBM hired 26 students with 4.5 -7.2 LPA, HCL hired 28 students with a package of 3.6 LPA, etc. TCS gave the highest package of 7.6 LPA and the lowest package of 3.3 LPA. Wipro hired a large number of students. The average package is 4.5 LPA by most companies, and above 70 percent of student has been placed in campus placements. I am also trying to get placement in the college itself.

Remarks:

To get admission to SV colleges we either have to qualify in the Ap eamcet or can join in management quota directly in the college. The application form is only available in the college itself and we have to go physically to the college and there is no online option for the application form submission, I think that has to be changed. Students who can get the full fee reimbursement who qualified through the AP eamcet and have white ration cards are applicable for Jagan anna vidya Deevena.

Placement Experience:

From the 4th year starting we get placements and the main companies are Zoho 10 offers Accenture 90 offers and Torry Harris, Acmegrade and many others. The highest package is 8.4LPA and the average is 4.5LPA. Due to the recession this year the percentage of students placed is less than 40%.

Remarks:

We joined through emacet rank to this college. There is a total of three counsellings in emecet. For the first council, the college admission is normal to take certificates and for the second council, there arrange three days meet in the auditorium and tell about the college and start classes. Where the third counselling will be late and they do not what's going through the admission process.
