Tagore Engineering College (TEC) is a self-financed engineering institute located in Nungambakkam, Chennai. Established in 2004, the college is currently affiliated to Anna University and offers various undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the fields of Engineering and Management.

At present, Tagore Engineering College (TEC) offers seven BE courses, five M.E. courses along with MBA and MCA program. The disciplines offered under BE courses include Aeronautical Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Information Technology and Mechanical Engineering. The five ME specializations include Applied Electronics, Manufacturing Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Power Electronics and Environmental Engineering.

  • BE candidates need to qualify 10+2 in science stream with PCM as compulsory subjects.
  • ME candidates must possess graduate degree in the relevant or allied discipline.

Tagore Engineering College UG Admission 2023

Tagore Engineering College, Chennai, offers BE courses in seven disciplines viz. Aeronautical Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Information Technology and Mechanical Engineering.

The basic eligibility criteria for admission to programs is passing 10+2 or equivalent examination with minimum 50% aggregate marks in physics, chemistry and mathematics combined. Selection of candidates for admission is done on the basis of marks obtained in the last qualifying exam through TNEA single window counselling.

Candidates seeking admission to the BE programs offered are required to apply through TNEA website. Upon duly filling-in the application form, the candidate can submit the application fee via debit/ credit card or demand draft to the Secretary, TNEA, Anna University.

  • Selections through TNEA are done on the basis of marks obtained by the candidate in the prescribed subjects reduced to 200 (Mathematics – 100, Physics + Chemistry – 100)
  • Only candidates who are native to Tamil Nadu are eligible for TNEA counselling.
  • Other state candidates are required to take the CET held by the self-financed colleges consortium.
  • For admission through lateral entry, candidates are required to score at least 55% average marks in the pre-final and final semester.
  • The minimum required aggregate for SC/ST candidates is 40% in PCM at 10+2 level exam. 

Tagore Engineering College PG Admission 2023

Candidates seeking admission to the postgraduate programs are required to possess Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the relevant or allied discipline. Ph.D. and M.Sc. (by research) candidates must have a postgraduate degree in the relevant discipline.

  • ME and MBA candidates are selected on the basis of TANCE counselling.
  • Applicants who are not eligible to apply through TANCET  are selected through a CET conducted by the consortium of self-financed colleges.

Application forms for TANCET can be filled online through the TANCET website. Candidates applying for institute level CET can collect the application form available at the institute’s admission cell. Application fee can be paid via debit / credit card, net-banking or through a demand draft.

  • GATE score may be considered for ME applicants.
  • Non- TANCET candidates are required to take the consortium level CET for admission.
  • M.Sc. (by research) and Ph.D. candidates do not need to appear for entrance exam. Selection is done on the basis of merit. 

Tagore Engineering College Application Process 2023

The process of application to programs offered by Tagore Engineering College differs from course to course, as follows:

For BE/ B. Tech programs:

Candidates applying for UG courses offered by Tagore Engineering College of Engineering are required to apply through TNEA  counselling. The process of application is as follows:

  • Candidate must first register for TNEA by using personal details.
  • Once the registration is successful, the candidate can proceed to fill the online application form.
  • Payment of TNEA application fee (INR 500 for general candidates and INR 250 for reserved category) can be done online.  
  • A printout of the completed application form should be taken for future correspondence.
  • A copy of the printed application from, accompanied by photocopies of educational documents, must be submitted to “Secretary, TNEA, Anna University, Chennai – 600 025”.

The following documents will have to be submitted along with TNEA 2107 application form:

  1. Original Special Reservation Form with DD
  2. HSC/Equivalent Mark Sheet
  3. 10th Mark Sheet
  4. HSC Hall Ticket
  5. Transfer Certificate
  6. Nativity Certificate only in electronic form/digitally signed e-Certificate.
  7. Permanent Community Certificate Card for ST, SC, SCA, MBC & DNC, BC & BCM.
  8. First Graduate Certificate and First Graduate Joint Declaration (if applicable)
  9. Sri Lankan Tamil Refugee Certificate (if applicable)

For ME & MBA programs:

Candidates applying for ME and MBA courses are required to apply through TANCET. The process of application for TANCET is as follows:

  • Candidate can apply for TANCET by registering through the official website.
  • Both online and offline modes of application are offered by TANCET.
  • Candidates applying are required to send a copy of the complete application form and photocopies of all relevant documents to “The Secretary, TANCET, Anna University, Chennai”
  • In the event of offline fee submission, a demand draft of INR 500 (INR 250 for reserved category) is to be enclosed with the application form.

For Ph.D. and M.Sc. (by Research) courses

Candidates applying for Ph.D. or M.Sc. (by research) programs can apply for the same by collecting a copy of the application form upon paying the requisite application fee. Duly filled-in copies of the application form with all relevant documents should reach the institute’s admission cell on or before the last date.

Shortlisted candidates are then called for a personal interview session based on which admission is granted. Selection is usually done on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the last qualifying exam.

Tagore Engineering College Scholarship 2023

Tagore Engineering College Management offers scholarship in the form of fee concession for students to be admitted to the current academic year. Students with cut-off mark 190 & above in 10+2 or equivalent exam will be given free admission (2 seats per each department). Similarly, those who scored cut-off marks of 180 & above will be charged only INR 25000 as annual fee.

Admission:

4 years course, we can find the application through online and offline the application fees is 250, June to July ist for one month, if the person want can reserve, no improvement is needed it's have every thing and understanding too
