Master of Computer Applications [MCA] From The Oxford College of Engineering, Bangalore

Admission criteria in this course i.e. M.C.A. depend on the scorest of the qualifying examination along with scores in the entrance. The requirements are as follows:

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidate with the bachelor degree or equivalent in any of the disciplines from the recognized university with at least 50% including one language in any one of the elective subjects Mathematics/ Computer Science/ Statistics/ Business Mathematics/ Computer Application/ Computer Programming.
• The candidate of reserved category i.e. SC/ST/OBC secure at least 45 % marks in the relevant discipline.

Selection Criteria

Students are selected based on their scores in Karnataka PGCET. 

Admission Process

Karnataka Postgraduate Common Entrance Test is taken by those students who wish to apply for MBA or MCA. The application fee for the general category is INR 650. The following section gives the necessary details for KPGCET.

Documents Required

• Mark sheet of 10th and 12th
• Scanned copy of candidate’s recent passport-sized photograph 
• Candidate’s signature 
• Signature of candidate’s parent/guardian.
• Scanned copy of the candidate’s left thumb impression

How to Apply?

There are three phases of application that must be filled with utmost care. Applications for admissions are accepted online through the official website.

The following steps to fill an application, have been given below:

• The applicants must register first as a new user by filling in the required fields to generate a new user id and password.
• Using the credentials generated during registration, the applicant must log in to start filling the application.
• After saving the information and re-reading the information provided, the applicants can submit the information and move on to the next section.
• Finally, the applicants should upload their scanned documents, accept the declaration, pay the fee and submit the application. 

Key Points:

• Candidates belonging to SC/ST category should have an aggregate of 40% and 40% marks in each subject they want to study.
• The merit list will be published on the official website of the college.
• The college will publish up to three merit lists but for some courses, it can also publish fourth merit list.
• Seats are reserved for SC, ST, and OBC categories according to rules laid down by the govt. of West Bengal Higher Education Department.
