What students say about Vivekanand Education Society Institute of Technology - [VESIT]

Likes

  • The course curriculum consists of 526 objects, depending on the semester. The subjects are helpful in our on-campus placement, as they are provided by Mumbai University, which is a really great university.
  • VESIT does not provide internships on its own, but there are a number of societies that can help you in obtaining internships throughout your course.
  • Around 100 companies come to our college with awesome packages, so no one should reject the job offers.
  • Scholarships can be availed by students with good merit, and there are also EBC scholarships available.
  • The gender ratio is also very good, allowing a maximum number of boys to find girlfriends. The competitions, such as the e-cell competition and sports competition, are also good.
  • Best hostel ever, and study without any worries about money issues at home. Also, the hostel fees are too good to be true, as they provide a great overall package. All the students can thrive and rejuvenate their youth in them.
  • One of the best colleges to get admission and study under the best of the best facilities available in Mumbai.

Dislike

  • Depending on the branches, for Computers/iT and Instrumentation, it is good. However, for Electronics and EXTC, the placement is unsatisfactory.
  • There are scholarship facilities available at the college for students who are unable to pay the fees or are in a condition where they cannot afford it.
  • One bad thing about our college is that they are very strict in terms of attendance. The minimum attendance is 75%. If you fail to get 75%, you are marked as a defaulter and teachers assign a lot of work to defaulters

Placement Experience:

Sorry but I'm in 1st year. So don't know much deep about placements. But placements are the best here. My Target is cracking JP Morgan company which is the main recruiter here. The average placement is 4 lakhs.

Remarks:

Just give MHT-CET or JEE, would be better. You have to score at least 96 percentile in CET and 94 in JEE. Scoring that much is not a big deal. But somehow if you don't secure that much percentile then you could wait for the spot round (only if MHT-CET is given), till the spot round the cutoff gets to 85 percentile in MHT-CET.

placement: 7/10
college: 10/10
course: 9/10
campus life: 10/10
